Puppet Monsters {Review & Giveaway}

I am not sure I can publicly admit how many costumes/disguises my family has, but anyone who knows us knows that my husband has quite the extensive collection. He has a great sense of humor, and is a big kid at heart, and somehow, this has become his "thing". Our little girls love it when he puts something on and comes out into the living room, and they play lots of games. They have quite the collection themselves, but it is mostly princess dresses, and Kennedy is still a bit too young for that.

When I saw the video for Puppet Monsters, I knew they would fit perfectly into our family. On a recent trip to the Children's Museum here in Houston, Haley loved playing with puppets there and making Kennedy laugh as she popped them over the edge.

Puppet Monsters are puppets that you wear...on your head!! I love the creativity of these, and how they get children to use their imagination! Once the puppet is on your head, it has long arms, and there is a little pocket to put your finger in so that you can move the arms around. There are several different monsters to choose from too!

There are several accessory kits that you can purchase that turn your monster into something completely different! You can mix and match the sets to create several different faces too! Knowing that there are so many options for the puppets ensures that it never gets boring for your kids. There are so many holes that are in the hat that they can place whatever they want wherever they want and the parts snap in so easily!

The day that our Puppet Monster arrived (I selected the monster "Twinkley Eyes" for the girls), my husband happened to be home when I opened the box. Before the kids could see it, he went and hid it in the garage. He knew they would love it, so he wanted to surprise them by coming into the house wearing it. Who knew it would be fun for everyone? As the kids were playing near our dining room, he popped over the couch wearing it.

Yes, Haley is crying in this photo. As Eddie kept playing with it, the baby pulled the nose off of it and Haley thought she had broken the new puppet.  We reattached it and assured her it was as good as new!  After we fixed it, he grabbed both girls in for a snuggle so they could inspect the puppet.

The whole family has had a ball with the Puppet Monster! I constantly see the girls putting it on during playtime.

I recently was away for a night with a friend, and my husband and the girls decided to make their own Harlem Shake video. Has everyone seen this new dance craze? I couldn't stop laughing at the video. And of course, our new puppet made it in!
