Even though he wasn't sitting near the bunny, at least Bryce was in the bunny pic this year! Rylie, on the other hand, would have hung out with that pretty bunny all day long.
Rylie was so excited that the bunny was a girl, even though she figured out that she wasn't the REAL Easter bunny. When we were eating dinner last night she told me that she knew that bunny wasn't real. When I asked her why she thought that she said "because I took a peek in her glove and saw a hand." Ahhh, there's no fooling that girl.
She did think, though, that the Easter Bunny would hop on over to our house, and she was right. Thanks to the fact that the bunny's helper was in Target yesterday with all of the other last minute shoppers, Rylie and Bryce woke up to big baskets full of all kinds of goodies...toys, bathing suits, beach towels, sunglasses, and of course, lots of candy.
We had to make them work for the candy a little bit, though. We stuffed the eggs and made trails from their bedrooms out into the family room and dining room, where more eggs were hidden. Bryce said that he hoped the Easter Bunny would put an egg in his bed, so yeah, there were eggs in their beds too.
Yes, we put Bs and Rs on the eggs...we had to do something to keep things fair around here!
I hope you all have a wonderful Easter Sunday! And go ahead...eat those chocolate bunnies for breakfast!
