If you have been a long time follower of this blog, then you know that I have lost a bunch of weight over the last couple of years. When I gave birth to Bryce I was over 200 pounds, and I didn't lose too much of that after he was born. Several months went by and I found myself trying on size 16 jeans one day and I decided that enough was enough. I wanted to be small again. I wanted to feel pretty.
I lost a lot of weight on Nutrisystem back in 2011, and I have lost more in recent months with Visalus. It has been a long road, but I am finally to a point where I actually like what I see when I look in the mirror. I weigh around 135 pounds now, which is the smallest I have been since my college days. My appearance has changed drastically over the past three years, and I'm almost completely satisfied with the way I look now.
January 2010 / November 2012
Note that I said almost. In my mind, my ideal weight would be around 125. If you have ever tried to diet before, then you know those last 5-10 pounds are very difficult to lose. Not only that, but I have some flab in my midsection, and I know that dieting alone is not going to get rid of it.
It's time to tone up. It's time to add some exercise into my life. Not only will exercise help rid my body of those last few pesky pounds, it will also make me feel better overall. When I used to exercise regularly, I had so much more energy, and I generally felt good. It's time to get my butt out of this computer chair and do something good for my body and my health.
I have been wanting to start exercising again for a while now, but my problem is time. I only have a couple of hours with my kids in the evenings, and I refuse to give that up so I can go to the gym. I keep saying that if I had a decent piece of exercise equipment in the house, I would use it after the kids go to bed, instead of plopping myself down on the couch to watch TV. In fact, I had just said to my husband that we should try to trade our pool table for an elliptical machine when I got the email about being a Smooth Fitness Ambassador. It was fate, I tell you.
Smooth Fitness is a company that sells gym-quality equipment for use in your own home, and I am so excited to begin working with them! I will be receiving this awesome Smooth CE 7.4 Elliptical Trainer, so I can start fighting this flab and get in shape. I cannot wait to get my heart pumping on this fabulous piece of equipment!
My elliptical machine should be here within the next week or so, and over the next 4 months, I will be telling you all about it. Stay tuned to hear more, and to follow along on my quest to be happier and healthier. Thanks to Smooth Fitness, I have a feeling my dream will become a reality very soon!
Disclosure: All opinions are my own. I am a Smooth Fitness Ambassador and will receive the elliptical machine at no cost, in order to facilitate my review (and my quest for a healthier lifestyle). No other compensation was received.

You look great but I know exactly how you feel about the flab in the belly. I've been exercising since Jan 2 and can see a difference already. That elliptical looks awesome. Can't wait to see your final results!
You have done amazing! I don't see the 5-10 lbs, but it's more important that you do so I hope the elliptical from Smooth Fitness helps you out!
Good luck!
Good for you!
Wow you look amazing! I just had our 5th baby and am trying hard to get this weight off. We are thinking about getting a treadmill so I can workout here either before the kids get up or after they go to bed. Especially in the hot Texas summer months that will soon be upon us =)
You look fabulous!!
You look great! I just had baby #6 last October and I'm not loving how I look or the extra weight at all. I've started walking on the treadmill or doing Jillian Michael's 30 day shred a few times a week. By the way, my hubby is an RN and works in Cardiac rehab helping patients who've had heart surgery or issues and he says that the elliptical is the best piece of workout equipment there is!
I think you look fantastic! That blue dress is great on you.
I'm looking for a workout machine that can help me get back in shape soon! You look great as well!
That looks like a great exercise machine.
You are looking good too!
You look simply amazing!
I too lost a lot of weight on Nutrisystem, 56 pounds in 7 months - and now I'm a #SmoothBlogger too!
I'm so excited to get my treadmill and lost these last 10 pounds and hopefully be able to run a 12K with my son this year!
I'll be following your journey!
You really look amazing! I'd love to have that Elliptical Trainer too so I could lose a few pounds.
