Some of my fondest travel memories were the ridiculously long road trips our family used to take every summer. I remember driving up to Massachusetts one summer (from Florida!!!), and we were in the car for a LONG time. My brother and I kept ourselves occupied by playing games, napping, and of course,
One of the games we enjoyed playing while in the car was Mad Libs. Remember those flimsy little books where one person asked the other person for nouns, adjectives and adverbs and then a funny story was made? Yes, those. Well Residence Inn now has a Mad Libs app on Facebook that makes travel {adjective} fun!
Residence Inn by Marriott celebrates the holiday season, inviting Facebook fans to take a trip down memory lane with the new Travel Mad Libs application. In an exciting collaboration with Penguin Young Readers Group's Mad Libs series, online enthusiasts can now create a series of fun, travel-inspired word games that will evoke a favorite childhood pastime. Offering three unique travel-focused stories, the app allows you to choose "My Fantastic Family Vacation," "My Best Business Trip" and "My Top Travel Tips." Fans of the Residence Inn Facebook page will remember the simple joy of creating a whimsical story to share with friends in a version updated with a digital twist.
This post would have been up earlier this evening, but I have been having way too much fun creating my own stories with the Travel Mad Libs app tonight! Here is a screen shot of the first Mad Lib I created about "My Fantastic Family Vacation"...
I swear that in the "animals" spot, it asked for a plural noun! I've never seen cups eat pizza before!
If you're looking for a little lighthearted fun, and possibly a trip down memory lane, make sure you check out the app and create your own story. Hey, your travel tales might even inspire you to go ahead and plan your next vacation!
Speaking of planning vacations, is anyone working on their spring break plans yet? If you're headed out of town for some sunshine, or maybe even to catch the last bit of snow for some skiing fun, you should definitely check out Residence Inn! Residence Inn by Marriott is so much more than just a hotel room...you can have all the comforts of home while you're away! Just check out my review of the Residence Inn by Marriott Treasure Island and you will see exactly what I mean. I've been spoiled, that's for sure, and will probably never stay in a "regular" hotel room again.
When I think of Residence Inn, so many {adjectives} come to mind: comfortable, convenient, and just plain awesome!
Disclosure: All opinions are my own. As a member of the Resident Mom Club, I received a gift card from Residence Inn in order to fully experience their properties, and I learn about fun promotions such as this one. No other compensation was received.

Mad Libs are so much fun! I used to do these with my students when I taught 3rd grade.
