Happy 5th Birthday Rylie!

Happy Birthday to my beautiful, spunky and totally awesome little girl!

Wow. Five years old already! I'm amazed at how time flies...especially when you're having fun. We had some great times this past year, and you had a lot of fun experiencing new things. You started VPK and dance lessons, took several fun vacations, and even left the country for the first time.

January/February 2012

You are such an amazing little girl! You have always been so strong-willed and independent, and that hasn't changed over the past year. You get so excited when you realize you can do something on your own, and Mommy and Daddy are always so proud of you. It might take you a while to figure out that you can do it, but once you do, there is no stopping you.

March/April 2012

You are such a girly girl, and you love to dress up and wear makeup. While I don't let you leave the house with your face looking like a rainbow, I love watching you imitate the things that I do. Sometimes I swear that you are 5 going on 15, and I'm starting to get a little nervous as to what the teenage years will be like. You're such a beautiful little girl, and you just get prettier as the years go by.

May/June 2012

Even though you love all things girly, you are not afraid to get dirty. You think bugs and snakes are cool, and you're not afraid to scoop up little creatures that I wouldn't get near. You're a thrill seeker who loves fast rides and gets upset when you can't go on big roller coasters. You are definitely my "fun kid" who is always game for anything.

July/August 2012

You are such a creative kid, and you like to color, paint and make crafts. You will sit for hours with paper, markers, scissors and glue, and I am often amazed at the masterpieces you come up with. You love to write, and will write letters to friends and family as long as someone will sit and spell words to you. While your creative side is definitely your forte, you are a smart kid who is eager to learn more. Right now you are showing an interest in math and can do simple addition pretty easily.

September/October 2012

The one thing we do need to work on is your patience, or should I say, lack thereof. You want to be able to do something immediately, and get very frustrated when something doesn't work on the first try. You feel defeated very quickly, and if you fail at something, you break down in tears. You are definitely my daughter in that respect, and I try to always keep your confidence up. If you keep trying, you WILL succeed. You always do.

November/December 2012

You are a friendly, outgoing child who is always eager to make new friends. If we go to the park alone, within minutes you will find someone to play with. You have a lot of friends, and everyone loves you, but you would still rather play with one or two friends at a time and do better in small group settings. You also do well playing by yourself. I love to sit in the other room and listen to the scenarios you act out with your baby dolls and Barbie dolls, and your imagination never stops.

Happy Birthday pretty girl! I love you with all of my heart, and I am so lucky to be your Mommy. You have brought so much joy to my life, and I can't wait to see what this next year brings!
