When I got pregnant with my second baby, my forehead broke out terribly. I was convinced I was having a boy since I felt so different than the first time, and then someone told me the old wives tale that a baby girl "steals your beauty". I certainly felt that way at times, but I didn't want to put anything with harsh chemicals on my skin in case I absorbed them. Of course, as it turned out, I WAS having a girl!
After I had the baby, my skin got a lot better, but I have still been having a few issues. I thought about going to have a facial, but I didn't have the time to do that since I had two kids at home, including a new baby. I had seen a few of those "at home" face scrubbers, but I wasn't sure what to look for or if they worked. All I knew is that they featured a rotating brush to scrub your face.
When I heard that ToiletTree Products was coming out with their version of an at home skin care system, I was really interested. ToiletTree is a company that I knew had quality products AND great customer service. Finally I felt confident trying a home care system.
When I received the ToiletTree Professional Skin Care System, I liked that I had a choice in color (blue, gray, or pink). I chose the blue one. I opened the package, and everything was neatly placed in order, and the set included the batteries.
The system promised to exfoliate, cleanse, and soften my skin. It comes with a pumice stone for rough skin (feet & elbows), (2) face brushes (soft & medium), and one body brush. Here is what the box has listed as the benefits of using the system:
The Professional Skin Care System, along with a daily cleansing regimen, helps assist the following:
- Stimulates skin renewal
- Improves overall skin clarity and appearance
- Removes dead skin cells to expose healthier-looking skin
- Energizes skin and leaves it smooth, soft and radiant
- Cleans deep to help remove stubborn makeup
- Enhances absorption of moisturizers
I first tried the medium face brush in the shower. I loved how clean & soft it made my face feel! I then tried the body brush, and I love how soft my skin felt and how sudsy it made my soap. I didn't try the pumice stone for a few days because I wanted to soak my feet first before trying it. I usually get a pedicure every few weeks but I do use a pumice stone at home in between my visits. I will admit that I was a bit skeptical that the brush would continue rotating while using it on my feet, but I was pleasantly surprised when it did just that!
About a week after I received the system, I decided to try the soft brush to see what the difference was. I actually preferred the softer brush. I felt that on my sensitive forehead, this brush was a little more gentle to that area.
I really like the system overall. I use the body brush a few days a week, but don't always take the time to switch the face brush off to use it every day. I use the facial brush every day, and am loving the results! I am happy to report that it made a big improvement in the appearance of my skin and the blemishes on my forehead. I am using a foaming face wash that is labeled for "acne prone" skin in conjunction with the ToiletTree Professional Skin Care System, and I like the results. What a great way to get that spa or dermatologist experience in my home with my busy schedule!
The ToiletTree Professional Skin Care System is currently retailing on Amazon for $32.95 (original list price is $39.95) This is such a great price for that professional experience at home!
