Brian and I ended up becoming very good friends. We ended up hanging out together a lot in a smaller group, and we talked about anything and everything. We talked about relationships we had been in and were currently in (or trying to be in), and just life in general. As the months went on, we grew closer.
At some point during those months, I realized that there was a possibility of becoming more than friends. There was a spark there. A few of us were hanging out at Downtown Disney one night after happy hour, and at one point in the night, it all just came together. We looked into each others' eyes, and at that moment, I knew he was "the one".
We have been together almost every minute since then. Even though I knew he was the one from the beginning, apparently he needed a little more time to "get to know me". That was his excuse, anyway, when his family constantly asked us when we were getting married. Just a little over 7 years from our magical night at Downtown Disney, we decided to get married and I got my sparkly ring!
I honestly feel like I have loved Brian forever, but I fell in love all over again when Rylie was born. From the moment she arrived, he has been the most wonderful dad a kid could ask for, and every time I see him with our children, I love him more and more.
While our love story may not seem all that exciting, it is our love story, and that is what matters. Friends first, then boyfriend and girlfriend, then husband and wife, and now dad and mom. Things change, and love evolves, but our story stays the same. He will always be "the one" for me, and I know that I am loved!
