Mama and Uncle Danny really outdid themselves this year with Bryce's gift. They bought him a HUGE Banzai Sidewinder Falls water slide! OK, well really it is for all the kids, but Bryce's birthday was a good excuse to buy something super fun for Mama's house.
On Sunday morning, Brian and I took my brother and his girlfriend Michelle out to breakfast at our favorite breakfast restaurant. The weather was not looking good, so we were afraid that Bryce wouldn't get to play with his big gift. The sun came out during our ride home, so the water slide was a go.
It didn't take Brian and Danny too long to set it up. That was a good thing, because we had three very impatient little kids ready to slide. Bryce was first up, and he scaled the side with ease. He got to the top where he was sprayed with cold water, and then the sliding began.
Bryce, Rylie and Grayson (Michelle's son) took turns going up and sliding down into the little splash pool at the bottom. I swear they were up and down that thing at least 100 times, and we were getting tired just watching them. They loved it!
Then my kids had to start with the stunts. They thought it was super fun to splash down face first in the water. Crazies!
We didn't think we would ever get them off of that thing. But just like Bryce's birthday week, it had to end at some point. Not before a few more stunts, though.
That backyard water slide is super cool, but I have to say that I'm glad it is at my mom's house, rather than mine. What a pain it was to get the water out of it and spread it out to dry! My mom's yard resembled a small pond when all was said and done. Ahhhh, the things she does for my kids!
Wednesday was Bryce's actual birthday so he wore his special Buzz Lightyear "3" tee to school. I ordered the shirt last minute from Lollys Sewing Room on Etsy, and she got it to me super quick! He was so excited to go to school that day that he even let me take a few pictures before we left. Just look at my cute little guy!
I took cupcakes to school so his class could have a little party for him. I got Toy Story cupcakes from Walmart since those are safe for Rylie to eat, and he couldn't wait to share them with his friends. My mom stopped by for the party and then took the kids home with her afterwards.
After swimming lessons, we let Bryce choose where he wanted to eat. Of course his first choice was Chick-fil-A, but since we had just been there the night before for Chick-fil-A Tuesday, I made a few other suggestions for him and he picked Applebee's.
We had a nice dinner and then Bryce chose the Triple Chocolate Meltdown for dessert. It's a good thing we got enough spoons for everyone, because Bryce would have been more than happy to eat the whole thing!
And with that, Bryce's BirthWEEK has come to an end. He is still playing with ALL of his new toys, and carries all of his new "Toy Story guys" everywhere with him. I would say that he had a pretty good birthday, don't you think?

WOW! What a gift and great day for them! My daughter has a smaller one, actually, a bounce house that has a slide with water but not nearly this big. This is awesome! Lucky Kids!

Yeah, besides the lake, your mommcan also expect a huge patch of dead grass if kept up for some time....but heck it is only grass. Looks like lots of fun for years to come, as i think the weight limit is pretty high.
