If your kids haven't already gone back to school, chances are they will be going back after the Labor Day holiday. School started in our county three weeks ago, and even though my kids didn't really go "back to school" since they are in daycare full time, Rylie started VPK and both kids started swimming lessons that week. Our evenings were already busy enough as it was, and they are even crazier now with swimming lessons in the mix.
This time of year not only brings busy mornings of rushing to get everyone to school and work on time, but also fast-paced evenings of getting kids to sports practices and other after-school activities, so I'm sure a lot of you are constantly running like we are. I am always in need of dinner ideas and other products that will make our school days (and nights!) simpler, and Kraft Foods has just what I need! From healthy drinks and snacks to quick dinner kits and great recipes, I can depend on Kraft to simplify our first week back and every week after that.
We recently received a gift pack full of Kraft products and other back-to-school items for review. This gift pack included CAPRI SUN Super V Fruit and Vegetable Juice Drink (Fruit Punch), coupons for LUNCHABLES with Smoothie and JELL-O with Mix-Ins Pudding Packs, CHIPS AHOY! cookies, VELVEETA CHEESY SKILLETS Dinner Kits in Creamy Beef Stroganoff and Lasagna, meal planner pad, calendar stickers, backpack, apple memo pad, sweat-free ice pack, crazy straws and hand sanitizer...so many useful items for back to school!
CAPRI SUN Super V Fruit and Vegetable Juice Drink(Fruit Punch): CAPRI SUN Super V is a new refreshing fruit & vegetable juice drink that kids will enjoy and moms will feel good about serving. The new ready-to-drink beverage, which comes in the popular CAPRI SUN pouch, contains a combined serving of fruits and vegetables (3/4 from fruit juice and 1/4 from vegetable juice) and is a good source of fiber, offering a perfect blend of nutrition, great taste and "kid cool."
My kids love the CAPRI SUN Super V! This is a great drink for them to have after swimming lessons. It quenches their thirst after all of those laps in the pool, and gives them a little extra nutrition, too! Rylie and Bryce don't care much for vegetables, so I always look for these juice drinks with hidden veggies in them.
New! VELVEETA CHEESY SKILLETS Dinner Kits in Creamy Beef Stroganoff and Lasagna: Craft your family a quick, easy, molten and melty dinner made with the liquid gold of VELVEETA. Wield your skillet and one pound of ground beef to forge a feast of new Creamy Beef Stroganoff, with premium seasonings, curly ribbon pasta, and creamy VELVEETA cheese sauce. Or, forge VELVEETA CHEESY SKILLETS Lasagna by smiting together one pound of ground beef, lasagna noodles, red sauce and premium seasonings together with the liquid gold of VELVEETA.
If you read my blog regularly, then you know my kids are picky eaters. We have the same 4 or 5 meals week after week, and while they are happy to eat their favorites over and over again, Brian and I like a little variety. It is so difficult for us to come up with dinner ideas that Rylie and Bryce will actually eat, so I was a little bit nervous about trying the Velveeta Cheesy Skillets Lasagna.
To my surprise, both Rylie and Bryce scarfed it right down. In fact, the whole family enjoyed it! It was easy and quick to make, so dinner was on the table when my mom and the kids got home from swimming lessons. We added a side of vegetables (corn is about the only vegetable my kids like), and had a great dinner that even my picky eaters enjoyed!
We currently have Bryce on a dairy-free diet because his pediatrician believes he is lactose intolerant, so we scooped out some of the lasagna for him before we added the cheese sauce. It was nice having this option so the whole family could eat the same meal together.
CHIPS AHOY!: Whether it's packed as a surprise lunchbox treat or with some milk after school— you’ll love CHIPS AHOY! Chewy Gooey Caramel and Chewy CHIPS AHOY! made with Reese's ® Peanut Butter Cups. One, infused with a soft caramel inside, the other, a chewy treat packed with Reese’s ® Peanut Butter cup pieces.
When Rylie and Bryce receive good notes from their teachers, eat all of their dinner, and are on their best behavior in the evening, they get a little treat after dinner. They loved the Chips Ahoy! cookies! Rylie has a nut allergy, so I was glad that the package of Chewy Gooey Caramel cookies did not have cross-contamination warnings on it like the Reese's variety did. Therefore, they each had their own package of cookies. Of course, my little cookie monsters would have been happy to eat the entire package in one sitting, but two was enough for their after-dinner treat.
LUNCHABLES with Smoothie: New Turkey and Cheddar Sub Sandwich with Chiquita® Strawberry Banana Smoothie and Double Stuf OREO cookies is the perfect first-day lunch time option that combines all of your kids' favorites! You can also try the new Chicken Strips and Deep Dish Pizza options to add some variety to lunchtime!
I have been a Lunchables fan since I was in school! I used to grab Lunchables in between classes back in my college days. While my kids aren't fans of lunch meat, I bet they would like the new Chicken Strips or Deep Dish Pizza Lunchables. We will definitely be trying those soon!
JELL-O with Mix-Ins Pudding Packs: Feed your family a snack you can feel good about with new JELL-O with Mix-Ins. Mix your favorite toppings into your favorite pudding flavors to create your new favorite dessert. Kids will love trying the six fun flavors like Strawberry Shortcake, OREO Dirt Cup, Birthday Cake, German Chocolate Cake, Turtle Sundae and Banana Caramel Pie. And you’ll love that they’re made with real milk.
It wouldn't be fair to Bryce to try these delicious sounding pudding snacks when he is home, but no one says that the rest of us can't sneak a taste when he is over at Mama's house!
