Join The Girlaxy With O.O.T.W. Girls {Review}

O.O.T.W.

In the age of high-tech toys, it isn't always easy to find toys that are simple to play with. Sometimes kids just don't want to read through a ten page instruction booklet in order to play with a toy, especially little kids like mine. They want to tear into the box and play with it.

Blip Toys, the company behind the collectible Squinkies toys, understands the need for toys with low-tech electronic functions that deliver high-tech payoffs. They recently introduced a line of collectible dolls that are Out Of This World.

The O.O.T.W Girls are trendy and cute. Each girl has a dazzling personality as unique as the stars in the galaxy. They have a passion for interstellar adventure and their vibrant imaginations take them everywhere under the sun.

Each of these collectible, small dolls has a unique feature that aligns with their personality. Kids can press the buttons on their bodies to see them come to life with dancing, singing, laughing and much more.

The O.O.T.W. Girls live in the Girlaxy, a playground filled with bright lights and fun, funky colors. Kids can visit this futuristic website and have fun learning about the girls and playing games. They can even download fun ringtones!

We recently received Gigi for review. Gigi is a hard plastic doll who stands about 6 inches high. Rylie was immediately drawn to her cute face and bright colored clothes.

I'm the girl that everyone loves to be around. I’m exploding with pranks, games and surprises. Keep an eye on me though, I play the most brilliant practical jokes. My laugh is so contagious I can make almost anyone smile from a light-year away.

These dolls run on 2 AAA batteries (included) and when you press the button on their chest, they come to life. Since Gigi is a prankster, she giggles when her button is pressed.

As an adult, I don't really get it. Granted, she's cute and she's fun to watch, but once is enough for me. My kids, on the other hand, love her. I honestly wish we had two of these dolls because trying to convince them to take turns pushing her button was not an easy lesson to teach. Rylie thought it was especially fun to lay her down on the floor and watch her spin around as she giggled.

While I may not "get" this toy, the kids sure do, and Blip Toys has created a fun little doll for little girls. The recommended age for these dolls is 4-12, and while I think the dolls themselves are better suited for the younger half of that range, the older kids will definitely have a great time playing on the Girlaxy website!

The O.O.T.W. Girls retail for around $9.99 and can be found at major toy retailers. Visit O.O.T.W. on the web to learn about the different girls, and find out about their pets and other accessories available. You can follow O.O.T.W. on Facebook and Twitter to have even more out of this world fun!

Which of these fun little futuristic dolls is most like your little girl?

Disclosure: All opinions are my own. I received the O.O.T.W. Girl at no cost for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was received.

Oh gosh, another new toy...my granddaughters will be wanting these also. They love the toys with all the noise and if they move, all the better.
