I Have A Need For Speed #VZWA

A need for internet speed, that is.

Speed is not something I have associated with my wireless internet service in a long time. Up until just recently, we had the same wireless carrier for many years. We were happy at first, and then we got comfortable. With that comfort came the tolerance for slow data connections and dropped calls. We called that wireless carrier several times and were promised that things would get better. They didn't. We even purchased new phones and that didn't help. After a while, we were fed up.

My husband researched the different wireless carriers for several weeks and finally made the switch. I was excited about my new phone, and for the first couple of weeks, I enjoyed playing around with it so much that I didn't notice how slow the internet connection was. I didn't have the dropped calls issue, so that was good, but my internet service ended up being slower than it was with the previous carrier.

We were out running some errands with my mom one evening when she made a suggestion of a restaurant to eat dinner at. For my family, going to a new restaurant is scary because of Rylie's severe tree nut allergy, so I grabbed my phone to look up the allergy warnings for that particular restaurant. My kids were hungry and getting cranky, but I figured it would only take a few seconds to find the information I needed. I was wrong. In fact, I never did get to the restaurant's website because my internet connection kept timing out. That was the last straw for me.

Just as I was about to give up on wireless internet completely, I received an email from Verizon Wireless inviting me to participate in their ambassador program. During Brian's search for a new cell phone service, Verizon Wireless had actually been highly recommended by several of our friends. Why he didn't choose Verizon at the time is beyond me, but I jumped at the chance to try out the 4G LTE Network.

A few days later, I received this...

Droid Incredible 4G LTE

That sleek device is the Droid Incredible 4G LTE by HTC. From my first tweet to my most recent Facebook post, I have experienced nothing but blazing fast internet speed that has made my husband regret not taking our friends' advice. Between my Droid Incredible and the awesome wireless service I have experienced with Verizon's 4G LTE network, my faith in fast wireless internet service has been restored.

I am just getting started with my new Droid Incredible 4G and have so much to learn, but so far I am definitely impressed. Not only is the internet super fast, there are some awesome features that come with this phone. From the 8-megapixel camera for capturing those unforgettable moments to the exclusive Beats Audio for delivering a richer sound, this phone seems to have everything!

I am currently going through a Verizon Wireless online workshop to learn about everything this phone has to offer, and I will be sharing more with you over the next few months. Follow the hashtag #VZWA on Twitter for updates from me and the other Verizon Wireless ambassadors.

Would you like a chance to win a Droid Incredible 4G? Verizon is giving them away every day from now until September 2! Visit Verizon Insider for details. Good luck!

Disclosure: I am participating in the Verizon Wireless Ambassador program and have been provided with a wireless device and three months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product.

I know we don't have many problems with dropped calls but speed is definitely a problem. It's so annoying! I am glad the carriers are remaining competitive as it keeps them on their toes to give customers the best service and products they can, and we do pay a LOT for that. Be watching your next posts on this VERY closely!

What did we do without cellphones? and wireless internet? I know that I couldn't go for more than a couple of days without the internet. Thanks for the post.
