For years, Barbie has been the ultimate toy for little girls. Barbie and her friends have taught girls about the latest styles and fashions through hours of imaginative play. These dolls have been in our house since before Rylie even turned 1, and she has had a great time having pretend tea parties, fashion shows and so much more with her Barbie friends.
Barbie Dolls of the World has been a Barbie Collector doll for years, and now, the largest and longest-running series in Barbie Collector history is giving the new generation of Barbie fans a glamorous new global line! The 2012 Dolls of the World come from all four corners of the earth, including classic countries represented by China Barbie Doll and Ireland Barbie Doll. Plus, the popular Australia Barbie Doll, and series newcomer, Argentina Barbie Doll!
We recently received the Australia Barbie Doll to add to Rylie's collection. This was the perfect doll for her to receive since we have friends in Australia. During the 4th of July holiday last week, Rylie and her class talked about the United States of America and learned about the country we live in. These Barbie Dolls of the World help to teach girls that there are other countries and cultures out there, and their natural curiosities make them want to learn more.
The Barbie Dolls of the World come in a special travel carrying case with a pet and a passport. There are even stamps included to fill the passport with! All of the Barbies are dressed in fab, native-inspired ensembles. Complete with a cowgirl hat, satchel and stylish knee-high boots, the Australian Barbie is ready for a day in the Outback.
Of course Rylie loved the style of her new Barbie Doll. She especially liked Barbie's removable hoop earrings and her long blonde hair. And who wouldn't love those boots? Even I want a pair for myself! Just like all the other Barbie dolls, this Australian Barbie is absolutely beautiful!
Being the animal lover that Rylie is, she has had a great time with Barbie's pet Koala. She has learned that certain animals are native to other countries, just like the people who live there.
The fun doesn't stop with the dolls, though. The real highlight of the new line is actually on the Barbie Doll of the World website where girls can play games with Barbie and learn fun facts about each country! They can visit the virtual countries of the world and collect passport stamps as they learn about the different countries.
These fun Barbie Dolls of the World are available at major retailers like Toys R Us, Target and Kmart, and online at Amazon.
Disclosure: All opinions are my own. I received the Barbie at no cost for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was received.
