Realistic Baby Dolls By JC Toys {Review & Giveaway}

Just in case you haven't already noticed, Rylie loves dolls. She has dolls of every different size and she enjoys taking care of them - changing diapers, feeding, bathing and dressing. I enjoy watching her engaged in imaginative play with her dolls, especially when I see how caring she is towards them.

Rylie recently added another doll to her collection when we received the La Newborn 14" doll from JC Toys. JC Toys has been making high quality, realistic baby dolls for over 30 years, and when they say "realistic", they mean it. As soon as I pulled the specialty play doll out of the box, I was amazed at just how life-like she seemed.

My best friend recently had a baby, and as soon as Rylie saw her new doll, she said "she looks just like baby Mia!" I was surprised at how instinctively she cradled her new baby as she sat down to inspect her.

Her real excitement came when it was time to fill out the baby's birth certificate. I'll give you one guess as to what she named her baby...

Rylie wasn't the only one who was amazed at how realistic the La Newborn Doll was. I was highly impressed with the detail sculpted into this baby doll. Her features are so life-like, that from a distance, someone might think this is a real newborn baby.

The detail in this doll's all-vinyl body are extraordinary. Her hands are curled up just like a newborn's hands might be, and the creases in her feet make you want to tickle her little toes.

Many of the dolls by JC Toys are anatomically correct, and this is one of them. I'm not going to display pictures of that part of her body, but I can tell you that this doll's "girl parts" are about as realistic as a doll can be. I wasn't sure how I felt about that at first, but really, it is no big deal. Rylie thought it was neat, but has never really focused on that part of her body.

Another feature that I didn't notice at first that Rylie pointed out to me was her little "outie" belly button. Too cute!

Once we checked out all of Mia's features, it was time to take her for a walk. She fit perfectly in Rylie's doll stroller, and in the other doll accessories she has.

Rylie absolutely loves this doll! I honestly thought that she would play with it for a day or two, and then it would end up on the shelf in her room with several of her other baby dolls, but I was wrong. Baby Mia goes everywhere with her! In fact, we took her with us when we had to take Bryce to the pediatrician last week, and when the office staff saw Rylie cradling her baby in the waiting room, they remarked about how they thought she was holding a real baby. They said they almost told us that we needed to be in the newborn room with her!

Rylie has a bag of newborn diapers that I saved for her, and she was so excited that they fit her new baby perfectly. She loves being a little mommy and changing her baby's diaper when she cries.

When it is time for Rylie to go to bed, Mia goes to bed too. I tuck them both in at night, and Rylie gives her baby a goodnight kiss.

This realistic doll became an immediate favorite with Rylie, and I think any doll lover would feel the same. These specialty dolls from JC Toys come in different sizes, different outfits and with different facial expressions. There are sad dolls and there are happy dolls, and several other expressions in between.

The fun doesn't end with the baby doll, though. Little girls will not only have fun filling out the birth certificate that comes with the doll, they can also go online and print one out with a footprint on it. Another fun feature is the dolly birth announcement. The proud parent can input her baby's information and upload a picture, and then email her doll's birth announcement to her friends! With the help of a parent, of course.

I highly recommend these dolls to any doll lover or collector!
