Bryce's New Love

Remember the time I told you all that Bryce loved Dora? Well, that love affair came to an end, and he has moved on. He has a new love.

Back in early May, I received a direct message from @Tollytots informing me that I was one of their April giveaway winners. (You should follow them too, maybe you will win!) I had no idea what I won, but since Tollytots makes several adorable dolls, I knew that it would be something Rylie would love. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and found the Singing & Storytelling Belle inside.

We got Belle out and both Rylie and Bryce had fun listening to her and the other Beauty and the Beast characters sing and tell stories. She is a really cool doll and I figured that Rylie would play with her non-stop, but I had the wrong kid in mind. You see, Bryce immediately fell in love.

Later on in the day I was in my room getting ready for whatever activity we had planned that day, and when I came out, I saw Bryce and Belle watching TV together in Rylie's princess chair. Bryce decided that she needed to look pretty for their movie date, so he brushed her hair while they watched.

Since then, Bryce and Belle are always together. They cuddle up on the couch to watch TV at night...

...and then Bryce snuggles up with her while I tuck them both in when it is time for bed.

Belle usually rides to school with us in the morning and keeps Bryce's seat warm until I pick him up in the evenings. She often has her own chair at the dinner table too. One afternoon he was playing quietly in his room and when I went in, Bryce had Belle cradled in his arms and was giving her kisses. He is going to be a very attentive husband one day, don't you think?

Belle hasn't replaced Bryce's best friends Buzz, Woody and the rest of the Toy Story gang, but he always makes time for her. Even though Bryce is a true rough-housing boy, he will occasionally play with dolls with Rylie. I guess that is what happens when boys have an older sister. But this is something more. This is love.
