Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser {Review & Giveaway}

Waterpik

A majority of people tend to skip flossing when maintaining their oral care. Flossing can be time consuming, painful, and even cause bleeding. The list of excuses can go on for reasons to neglect flossing your teeth, until now!

Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser is the easy and more effective way to floss. And it's perfect for anyone with braces, implants, crowns, bridges, or periodontal pockets. Is it possible that a product exists that can tackle multiple oral care issues?

Waterpik® Water Flossers are the only brand clinically proven to be more effective than traditional dental floss for reducing plaque, gingivitis, and gum disease.

Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser

My husband inherited bad teeth. I don't think I've ever encountered anyone in their early 30's with as many dental issues as my husband. While his pearly whites are nice to look at, they can crack and break on a dime. Well not literally on a dime, but you get my gist. I've been witness to a few instances where we are eating at home or eating out and he will bite down on something and crunch, a tooth cracks. It's nuts! He also seems to get cavities left and right, although he brushes as recommended.

These days it's hard to find an insurance company that will cover the full cost of dental care, so his dental bills quickly add up. When I read up on the benefits of the Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser I just had to have him try it out. Just look at all the wonderful benefits guaranteed with the Waterpik:

  • Clinically proven 50% more effective than traditional dental floss for gingivitis treatment

  • Proven in laboratory tests to remove 99.9% of plaque from treated areas with a 3 second application

  • Clinically proven 3X as effective as dental floss for cleaning around braces with the orthodontic tip

  • Removes bacteria deep between teeth and below the gumline where brushing and traditional flossing can't reach

  • Massages and stimulates gums to improve circulation and keep your gums strong and healthy

  • Great for people with implants, crowns, bridges, and veneers

  • Leaves your mouth feeling incredibly fresh and clean

  • Healthier Gums in 14 Days Guaranteed
  • Ultra Water Flosser

Some of the product features of the Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser are:

  • 6 unique tips

  • Advanced pressure control system with 10 settings

  • Reservoir capacity of 90 seconds+

  • Pause button on handle

  • Can be used with water or your favorite mouthwash

  • Covered reservoir with built-in tip storage

  • Three-year warranty

  • We love the benefit of having a waterflosser that has added benefits like 6 unique tips. This can easily be used by a husband and wife and is financially beneficial that way. The Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser offers a plaque seeker tip, classic jet tip, toothbrush tip, orthodontic tip, pik pocket tip and tongue cleaner. Waterpik has included something for everyone!
    Waterpik with open lid

My husband and I have both used the Waterpik consistently for 30 days and have seen the benefits from using it. We have a healthier mouth, fresher breath and have that "dentist clean" feeling each and every day. Some of our favorite features are the covered reservoir that holds plenty of water for each use. I also like mixing in mouthwash for that added feeling of fresh breath.

Two other features we appreciate from the Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser are the pressure control system and the pause button on the handle. The pressure control system offers a 10 range setting so that you control how gentle or hard you prefer the water pressure. The pause button offered on the handle is important since the water flows consistently while moving the Waterpik around in your mouth.

    control settings

While this was our first experience using Waterpik, it does mention that it's quieter than previous models. However we found it to be quite noisy. Nevertheless I feel that is such a small con compared to the many benefits of using the Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser!

So who's ready to take charge of their oral care and stop paying extra expenses at the dentist? Using the Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser can help avoid cavities because it cleans deeper than a toothbrush, getting to the root of the plaque build-up. It also can help avoid those out of pocket expenses for deep cleanings that your dentist recommends because it won't be necessary since you are already doing it at home!

The Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser is available for purchase online at Amazon.com and is currently priced at $44.99 at the time of this review. It's also available in store at Bed, Bath & Beyond, Wal-Mart, Kmart, Kohls, Target, Walgreens and more. Waterpik is offering a printable coupon for $5 off the Ultra Water Flosser at the bottom of the page.

They come in a cordless or larger plug in version, great depending on the configuration of your bathroom and number of users! (I used to sell these in a dental boutique I worked at, can you tell? I've always wanted one but never ponied up the money even though I heard such great reviews).
