SwaddleDesigns Introduces Angry Birds Baby {Review & Giveaway}

We found happiness with SwaddleDesigns a couple of years ago in the form of a little square blue and brown lovie that became Bryce's "buppy", as named by his sister when she was a baby. We have 4 of them, and Bryce still sleeps with at least one of them every night.

Angry Birds have found happiness with SwaddleDesigns baby products! We are honored that Rovio chose SwaddleDesigns to manufacture Angry Birds Baby items based on our high quality products.

I don't know all that much about Angry Birds, but I do know that it is a phenomenally popular game. There have been many nights when I was working on the computer and all I heard was the sound of those little birds being catapulted through the air on Brian's phone. Angry Birds is the fastest growing brand in the world with over 600 million downloads. Boys, girls, men, women, grandmas and grandpas – all love playing Angry Birds.

We recently received a few items from the new Angry Birds Baby line by SwaddleDesigns for review - Baby Lovie, Marquisette Swaddling Blanket and a Body Suit. I immediately thought these items were super cute, and of course my husband thought they were pretty cool too!

Our favorite item is the Angry Birds Baby Lovie, which is a silky soft security blankie with textures that little fingers love. It is satin on the back and around the edges of the front, with a soft flannel center.

I didn't know if Bryce would give up his usual SwaddleDesigns "buppy" for this one, but when he saw those Angry Birds, he was happy to make the switch. We really need to get another one, because he has slept with this one every night since we received it, and it really needs to be washed!

Since we don't have any babies in the house any longer, the Swaddle Blanket and Body Suit went to my best friend who is going to have her first child any day now. We visited them a couple weeks ago, so Brian gave them a swaddling lesson while we were there. After all, my husband is a master at the swaddle!

The cool thing about the SwaddleDesigns blankets is that the swaddling instructions are sewn right in. Once you learn how to swaddle properly you won't need the instructions, but this is a great feature for new parents to have until they master the technique.

The Angry Birds Marquisette Swaddle Blanket is huge! It measures 46 by 46 inches. This is great for growing babies, but you have to make sure you have a large area to lay it out on when you are swaddling your baby. We laid it out on Melissa's dining room table (which you obviously wouldn't want to do with a real baby) and Brian showed the soon-to-be parents how it is done.

In all honesty, the Velcro swaddle blankets are much easier to use, especially when you have a fussy baby on your hands. Brian was able to swaddle Rylie's stuffed animal pretty easily, but I don't know that I would be able to do that easily without a lot of practice. However, if you can get the technique down, these blankets do make for a fabulous swaddle!

The Marquisette Swaddling Blanket is a very lightweight openweave high quality cotton blanket – for warmer environmental temperatures. We certainly have warm temperatures, so we definitely need thinner blankets here. This blanket would also be great to use to cover strollers, or even cover a sleepy toddler.

The last item we received for review was the Angry Birds Body Suit. The body suits come in three colors, with three different birds on the front. They are available with short or long sleeves. The body suit is very soft and well made, and I know that baby Mia is going to look so cute in it!

I absolutely love the new Angry Birds line by SwaddleDesigns! They are something different from your usual cutesy baby items, and they make great gifts for Angry Birds fans! The prices for these items are very reasonable and start at $15 for the body suits, and go up to $49 for gift sets.
