A few weeks ago I told you all that I would be taking the Crest and Oral-B Pro-Health test drive, and I'm back tonight to report my results to you. I wanted to be able to keep that fresh-from-the-dentist-clean feeling, and with the Crest and Oral-B Plaque Control regimen, I was supposed to be able to do just that.
My test drive regimen consisted of using four products for several weeks: Crest Pro-Health Clinical Plaque Control Toothpaste, Crest Pro-Health Clinical Rinse, Oral-B Pro-Health Clinical Pro-Flex Toothbrush and Oral-B Glide Pro-Health Clinical Protection Floss.
In my first post I told you all how much I was already liking the toothpaste and the floss. I still love the Glide Floss, and it is the only kind I use. It really is the only floss that can get between my teeth that are very close together.
The Plaque Control Toothpaste is a great all-in-one toothpaste that left my teeth feeling very clean, and made my mouth feel fresh just by brushing alone. However, the whitening capabilities of this toothpaste were not as great as my former toothpaste. I drink a lot of coffee, so I need a toothpaste that really whitens teeth, and I noticed just last night that the back of my front bottom teeth were badly stained already, even though I went to the dentist just a few weeks ago. I do like the plaque control that this toothpaste has, and I like how fresh it makes my mouth feel, so I will probably alternate between this toothpaste and my favorite whitening toothpaste from now on.
When I first started using the Pro-Flex Toothbrush, I wasn't sure if I would be able to continue to use it. I have very tender gums, and this toothbrush wasn't as soft as my usual Oral-B toothbrush is. After a few days, though, I got used to this new toothbrush and I am still using it today! I can definitely tell that it gets to all of those hard-to-reach areas in my mouth, and I feel confident that I am cleaning every surface of my teeth with it.
As for the Clinical Rinse, I have very mixed feelings about this product. I absolutely love how fresh it makes my mouth feel, but sometimes it is literally too fresh. The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is brush my teeth. After my shower, I have a cup of coffee while I put my makeup on, do my hair, and get dressed, and then I have another cup on my way to work. I know it is silly to brush my teeth before I drink coffee, but I'm not leaving the house without brushing, so it just works out that I have to do it first. When I used the Clinical Rinse in the morning, it was so powerful that it actually made my coffee taste horrible, and I just can't have that. While the rinse is too harsh for me to use in the morning, I am still using it most nights. I love waking up in the morning with fresh breath, and this rinse allows me to do that!
If you want that super fresh feeling that will make you feel like you just came from the dentist, this regimen is definitely for you! I am glad I got the chance to try out these great products, and I will definitely keep using them, just not exactly as recommended.

These products sound wonderful. I will probably try the toothpaste and floss. I'm not sure about the rinse, though, I also am a coffee drinker and can't have anything messing with that. Thanks for the review.
I really like Glide dental floss. It is great for those of us with tightly packed teeth.
I would be the same way. I would not let it mess with my morning coffee!
Gosh, the things Crest comes up with. We have had Crest in our family for many, many years now and it is a product you know you can trust. I am 56 years of age and my family used Crest when I was a kid...good stuff!

I was a loyal Crest user for a long time and then switched brands but since they've upgraded their products and really expanded their line I think it's time to switch back. The clinical rinse sounds like a good purchase.
I like their whiting tooth paste
