I'm On The SwimWays Swim Team!

SwimWays 2012 Swim Team

I made the team! The SwimWays 2012 Swim Team, that is. This isn't your ordinary swim team, though. There won't be any grueling 5AM practices, starting blocks or lane markers. This is going to be so much more fun!

When I was a kid, I was a little fish in the swimming pool. If we were at home during the summer, chances are that my brother and I were in the pool. I'm hoping to make little fish out of Rylie and Bryce too! I want them to share my love of swimming, and I think we are well on our way.

While Bryce has no fear of the water and will just jump right in, Rylie is a little more hesitant. She loves going in the pool, but won't get in without the security of an inflatable ring around her waist. Neither of them really know how to swim, though, and hopefully we can change that this summer. Since we have a pool in our backyard, it is very important to me that they learn how to swim, and understand the importance of water safety.

SwimWays is going to provide me with tools to not only help my kids learn how to swim, but give them the confidence they need to do so. We will be trying out products from the different Swim Steps, which are designed to take kids from water introduction all the way to swimming.

Swim Step 1 Swim Step 2 Swim Step 3 Swim Step 4

We definitely have water introduction out of the way, and I can't wait to receive our SwimWays products so we can move on to the next steps!

Not only does SwimWays make great products to help parents pass on their love of swimming to their children, they also help children in other ways. With each purchase of a SwimWays product, the company donates a portion of the profits to Operation Smile. Operation Smile is a worldwide children's medical charity whose network of global volunteers are dedicated to helping improve the health and lives of children and young adults. To date, SwimWays has donated over 3,000 operations to children worldwide, and that number continues to grow.

SwimWays Operation Smile

During the month of April, you can help SwimWays donate to Operation Smile just by liking Operation Smile on Facebook. For every "Like" received, SwimWays will donate $2 to Operation Smile to help provide smiles to children around the world! When you click that "Like" button, you will also receive a 20% discount code for SwimWays products! Let's get that donation all the way up to that $50,000!!!

Stay tuned this summer to learn how my kids progress through the SwimWays Swim Steps. I think we are going to love being part of this Swim Team!

Disclosure: All opinions are my own. I have been selected as a SwimWays Ambassador for the 2012 summer season, and will be receiving products at no cost during the program.

Went ahead and liked SwimWays on Facebook. I like what they are doing. I also can't wait to see the outcome of your Swim Steps trial. Looks like something I might need for my little ones. My husband and I don't know how to swim and I really want my kids to learn.

Aww, too bad we don't have a pool, my daughter is small but I think she would be ready to introduce her to a pool.

How fun to have a pool!! I'm starting my 19 month old in swim lessons this summer. We live in So Cal so the beach trips and pool parties are a big part of our summer. You can never be too safe around water. I hope your kiddies have a blast learning to swim!
