Living in Florida we have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors pretty much year round. Many weekends are spent taking the boys to theme parks, sporting events, playgrounds, art and craft festivals and more. In order to maintain your sanity with two toddlers it's necessary to invest in a double stroller.
For the past year we have noticed our son was no longer interested in staying seated in our double stroller. He had way too much energy and too many things to see! We too were not fans of our current double stroller because it was bulky and a hassle to open and close. If you didn't fold the canopies down, fold one of the two seats forward and push the handle down the stroller wouldn't close properly. Doesn't that sound exhausting just to close a stroller? And then adjust that all over again when opening it. We knew there had to be a simpler option and something that would suit our now 4 year old too.
After doing a bit of online research I hit the mother load of Sit N Stand strollers! Baby Trend offers 5 different Sit N Stand stroller options; the LX, DX, Ultra, Double and Tag-a-long. This was the perfect option of our 4 and 1 year old sons. With a Sit N Stand stroller the front seat is designated for the younger child facing forward like with any other stroller however the rear offers a sit or stand option for the older child. This was exactly what we needed!
We had the opportunity to review the Baby Trend Sit N Stand Double in Carbon. Check out all of the features of the Sit N Stand Double:
Covered parent tray with 2-cup holders
One hand fold is fast and easy to use
5-point child restraint safety harness
Removable/Swing away child tray with cup holder
Removable rear seat converts stroller to traditional Sit N Stand
Foot activated rear brake
Accepts two infant car seats and is compatible with:
Baby Trend, Evenflo - Embrace & Discovery, Britax - Companion & Chaperone
The Sit N Stand Double arrived almost completely put together which is a nice bonus! My husband took less than 10 minutes to add the wheels, tray and second canopy to the stroller. The Baby Trend stroller arrived in the double option, but was easily transitional to a Sit N Stand. All in all he took about 15 minutes to complete both tasks.
The first feature I tested out was the one hand fold option. This was the important feature we were lacking from our double stroller we currently used. I am SO happy to report that this stroller can be opened and closed with one hand as stated by Baby Trend! In just a matter of seconds you can be on your way! The combination of the red unlock button and red squeeze button on the underside of the handlebar can be simultaneously done using one hand and easily unfolds the stroller.
I also love the covered tray which is great for housing a cell phone, keys, money, etc and the two cup holder feature. In this picture you can also see that when the stroller is in the double feature there is an air vent flap on the second canopy for extra ventilation.
Another thing that I noticed was the grey safety latch (just below the word Sit N Stand) featured on one side of the stroller. Safety of course is of the utmost importance and I appreciate the safety latch that secures the stroller when closed shut.
So how does it ride? Smooth! The stroller is lightweight and has a smooth ride, even with both boys seated inside. My son is so happy to have the option to sit on the small seat provided or stand while holding on. This works for us too since we're not constantly bending down to unbuckle him every few minutes when he wants to jump out. And as you can see below the Sit N Stand features handles on either side of my son so he always has something to grasp while riding.
The true test was taking the Baby Trend Sit N Stand Double to both Universal Studios parks in one day. That really put this stroller to the test! It held up perfectly and was very convenient in the Sit N Stand mode.
Another feature that's important is the undercarriage. These days big diaper bags are the "norm" and it's important for the undercarriage to be big enough to fit those large bags. Baby Trend has tackled that issue by having a long undercarriage that's easily reachable by the back or middle of the stroller. While the undercarriage is not as big as other strollers I've seen, it still worked well for us.
This stroller is perfect for twins too! It has the option of housing two infant car seats.

We couldn't be happier with the Baby Trend Sit N Stand Stroller and I believe it's a must have for every home that has more than one child! If you're looking for something convenient, easy to open and close and like the option of a double stroller or Sit N Stand, this is definitely the stroller for you!

Um, this stoller looks amazing!
Wow, very cool stroller. It has alot of really great features and seems to handle very easily. I am going to look further into this brand.
Wow very cool. If I had children who still needed a stroller I'd definitely get! Love it.
Wow, this stroller is amazing!
Wow! So versatile! I wish I had this when my kids were younger, it would have been soooo helpful to have a spot for my 2 year old while pushing my baby around. Standing is such a cool option. Great review!
Looks like the perfect stroller i'm looking for. Thanks for posting!
Interesting layout on your blog. I really enjoyed reading it and also I will be back to read more in the future.
This looks like a great solution for parents of young children!
That looks really comfy. I might be tempted to sit myself and have my husband push :)
This stroller looks comfy for both boys and convenient for mom and dad :) That is always a plus!!!!
thanks for sharing this! I've been wanting one of these!
This is a very cool looking and sounding stroller. I like the stand option and how easily it folds up. I had such a clumpy, huge stroller with my daughter that this time around I'm going to think of it as an investment.
These are really great! They allow the bigger child feel like a big kid and use a stroller when they get tired.
I really wish i could find a giveaway for this stroller, I'd love to enter one.
Just read your review. We're moving over seas and have #2 on the way. Couple of questions: Is the handle long enough? I'm 5'7. Also, is it fairly compact when folded? We'll need something for easy travel on planes. Thanks!
I have this stroller as well as love it. The other great point to mention is that you can buckle up the child sitting in the back when it's in sit n stand mode!
