Transform Your Backpack With Gutzy Gear {Review & Giveaway}

Gutzy Gear

When I was a kid in school (you know, way back when), I remember getting my textbooks and making book covers in order to personalize them. I didn't want store bought book covers, because I didn't want to have the same ones the other kids did. I wanted to personalize my books in my own way. So every year, my mom would help me cover them with white paper, and I would design my own book covers.

Fast forward to today when I am taking my little ones to school. They don't have textbooks yet, but they do have to carry backpacks every day with a change of clothes and a blanket. Rylie definitely likes to have her own style, as evidenced in her weekend wardrobe that she picks out all by herself, and personalizing a backpack isn't as easy as just coloring on some paper over a book.

Backpack personalization is easy and fun with Gutzy Gear! Gutzy Gear gives kids the opportunity to express their personal style, passions, and hobbies by transforming any simple backpack into their own statement-making personality pack!

Gutzy Gear on Bags

Gutzy Gear starts off with a set of straps that fit over most kids' backpacks and messenger bags. Kids can then express themselves by customizing the straps with Gutzies, which are super cool patches that kids can collect, share and trade with their friends. There are several Gutzies to choose from for girls and boys!

We recently received some Gutzy Gear for review. Rylie and Bryce each got their own starter kit, which includes a set of straps and two surprise Gutzies.

We were also sent three packs of Gutzies so the kids could have fun personalizing their backpacks.

Gutzies

Rylie and Bryce couldn't wait to get started transforming their backpacks. They first placed their two "starter Gutzies" on the straps...

...and then they split up the remaining Gutzies and got to work placing them on the straps the way they wanted them.

Kids putting Gutzies on straps

The Gutzies stick firmly to the straps. Rylie and Bryce actually had a hard time getting them off to move them around, but I was able to get them off with just a simple tug. They are like Velcro and aren't sticky, so there is no mess. Once the Gutzies were secured in the correct positions, it was time to attach the straps to their backpacks.

Check it out! Rylie's backpack is now like no other Hello Kitty backpack out there. We said bye-bye to boring and hello to fun!

Rylie and Bryce love having their backpack straps decorated with the super cool Gutzies!

There aren't too many products out there that I think are really cool and unique, but Gutzy Gear is definitely one that caught my attention. What a great idea! Gutzies are an easy, mess-free way for kids to give their backpacks some personality.

Not only are these personalized backpack straps a lot of fun, they are also very affordable. The starter kit retails for $9.99, and the 2-packs of Gutzies are $4.99 each. The quality of these products is excellent, and I think the price is just right. You can purchase Gutzy Gear directly from their website, locally at many specialty retailers, and online at Amazon.

I highly recommend Gutzy Gear for kids of all ages! There are Gutzies to fit every personality!
