Seventh Generation Diapers Are Lorax Approved {Review & Giveaway}

Seventh Generation

What is The Lorax? Well, the question isn't What? It is Who? The Lorax is the "Speaker for the Trees" who brings environmental truth and ecological hope to all. Up until just recently, I had no idea who The Lorax was. Sure, I have seen all of the previews for Universal Studios' motion picture debut of Dr. Seuss's The Lorax, but I had no idea what it was all about. Since my mom was a teacher, we had a ton of books when we were kids, but we didn't have too many Dr. Seuss books, so I hadn't had the pleasure of knowing the story of The Lorax until now.

The Lorax Book

Thanks to Seventh Generation, I now know who The Lorax is, and I know his story. It is a sad story about the Once-ler chopping down all of the beautiful Truffula Trees in order to make "Thneeds". Once the trees were gone, there was no food, there was smog in the air, and there was glup in the pond, so all of the forest animals had to leave. This story is a wonderful way for our children to learn about environmental awareness and sustainability, and will hopefully inspire a new generation of environmentalists.

So where does Seventh Generation come in? Seventh Generation has partnered with Universal Studios, and is now featuring limited edition Lorax prints on all of their diapers and training pants. After all, Seventh Generation is well known for their green products and commitment to the environment, so this partnership just makes sense.

The Seventh Generation family of Free & Clear baby products continues to deliver on your needs as it expands in March, with the addition of NEW Overnight Diapers. Moreover, Free & Clear diapers have been redesigned with new, improved tabs for better fit while Free and Clear training pants now have an absorbent core that is made with more renewable materials. Seventh Generation Free & Clear baby care products do not contain chlorine, fragrance, petroleum-based lotions or latex, and all Free & Clear products are also hypo-allergenic.

Seventh Generation Overnight Diapers Seventh Generation Diapers Seventh Generation Training Pants
  • NEW Overnight Diapers are absorbent enough to keep your baby and bedding dry through the night or during prolonged travel
  • Free & Clear diapers have improved more flexible tabs that provide even better fit
  • Free & Clear training pants have an absorbent core made with more renewable, plant-based materials. They also feature stretchy, tear away side panels for a better fit and added convenience, as well as inner leak barriers for superior leakage protection
We recently received a prize pack from Seventh Generation that contained a pack of the new and improved Training Pants, and a copy of Dr. Seuss's The Lorax.

Bryce is potty trained, but since he sleeps with a bed full of his "friends", we still put him in training pants at night. He was definitely excited to try out his new Lorax training pants by Seventh Generation.

Lorax Training Pants

The first thing I noticed (well, after the light brown color) was the softness of these training pants. They aren't stiff like other brands can be. Bryce does wake up dry most mornings, but he slept in super late last weekend, and was pretty wet when he woke up. The Seventh Generation Training Pants did not leak one bit! They are very absorbent and did the job of keeping Bryce's bed (and his friends) dry. There are so many features about these training pants that I like, not to mention that they are environmentally friendly, so we will definitely be switching to the Seventh Generation brand for Bryce!

We all sat down and read The Lorax together for the first time last weekend, and the kids really enjoyed the story. I think they have pulled that book out every night since! Rylie is at that age where she questions everything, so I really tried to explain to her the moral of the story, and I think she gets it.

If you are looking for diapers or training pants that are gentle for your baby, and better for the environment, I highly recommend the new and improved products from Seventh Generation! They are Lorax approved! You can register for a free The Lorax scrapbook with the purchase of any three Free & Clear diaper products, until supplies last.
