Spring is officially here, and do you know what that means? It means that it is time for me to put away all of my kids' winter clothes and stock their wardrobe with adorable spring and summer clothes. I have a slight obsession with buying clothes for my kids (just ask any of my Facebook friends who see my constant status updates about shopping for them), but I just can't help it. After all, they look cute in just about anything!
One store that I absolutely love shopping in, and can't get enough of these days, is The Children's Place! Not only are their clothes for children ridiculously cute, but they are very affordable, too. The prices at The Children's Place are low to begin with, and they always have great sales going on.
The new spring and summer lines are out at The Children's Place, and it has been so much fun filling up my kids' closets with their new spring wardrobes. Whether you are looking for a dressy spring dress, bright summer tanks and skirts, or fun tops and shorts, The Children's Place has something for every little girl!
For those that think that shopping for little boys isn't as fun as dressing up your little girl, I beg to differ. You can find dressy spring clothes for them too, along with bright summer colors and cool plaids. Seriously, just look at how cute this stuff is!
We recently received a few items from the 2012 Spring Lookbook from The Children's Place for review - the Multi-Floral Dress for Rylie and a Pocket Tee and Denim Carpenter Shorts for Bryce.
I have to admit that when I first pulled the dress out of the box, I didn't care much for it. It definitely wasn't something I would have picked out. Rylie was excited to try it on, though, and once I got it on her, it grew on me. I made a comment about it being her Easter dress, so she had to have her picture taken with the Easter Bunny...
One thing I like about clothes from The Children's Place is that they run pretty true to size, so I don't have to do much guesswork when picking out clothes for my kids. Rylie fits pretty much perfectly into the "Girl" size 4, which is the size this dress came in. The top of the dress is a little big on my skinny little girl, but I would rather it be a little big than too snug. Other than that, it fit her perfectly, and looks so pretty on! The bow on the back of the dress is an adorable touch, and really makes the dress. She even had some flip flops that we recently purchased from The Children's Place that matched pretty well. OK, maybe they aren't dressy enough for an Easter outfit, but they still looked cute with the dress.
My little Bryce still wears the 18-24 month size, which normally fits him perfectly. The Carpenter Shorts are made to fit a little baggy, but when I first put them on him, they literally fell right off. Luckily, the shorts came with an adjustable waist, so once we got them cinched up, they stayed on his tiny waist. The shirt is super soft, and fit him nicely. I definitely like his outfit! I love the detail on the back of the shorts that makes the "carpenter short" what they are. Too cute!
Even with the waist cinched up, Bryce was having a hard time keeping those shorts up while running around, so we switched them out for a pair of cargo shorts we already had from The Children's Place. I like these style of shorts so much that he has several pair in different colors. The Pocket Tee is so versatile, that it looks good with just about anything.
Often times when children's clothes are affordable, they are lacking in quality. That certainly is NOT the case with clothes from The Children's Place. While several items I have purchased do tend to shrink up just a tad bit when I wash them, my kids will be able to wear these high quality clothes for the entire summer and they will not fall apart. I know this because I have been buying clothes from The Children's Place since Rylie was an infant.
I have already made several trips to The Children's Place for spring and summer clothes, including a trip I made last weekend. I went in to exchange one item, and came out with a bag full of clothes. Like I said, I can't get enough! When I find affordable clothes that fit well, and that my super-picky daughter will wear, I stock up. Here are a few of Rylie's new outfits...
See that orange halter top in the middle picture? I purchased a purple one a month or so ago, and as soon as Rylie put it on she said "uh, mom, I need one of these in every color!" So what did I do? I bought her four more! They are just too cute!
As if you hadn't already guessed it from this post, I highly recommend The Children's Place for all of your spring and summer clothing needs!
