Live A More Natural Lifestyle With Johnson's Natural

Johnson's Natural

Up until a few years ago, I didn't think too much about "natural living". I figured that I was healthy enough and getting by just fine with the way I was living my life. Then I had kids and my thoughts changed. I started paying more attention to health reports about how chemicals in health and beauty products could cause cancer. I also noticed how big kids are getting and how early they are developing, and couldn't help but think that is a result of all of the processed food we eat and all of the hormones given to farm animals to plump them up faster. Unfortunately, we don't live as much of a natural lifestyle as I would like, but we are trying to do better.

When I was pregnant with Rylie, I received several bottles of baby wash and lotions at my baby shower. When it came time for her first bath, it was difficult for me to decide which one to use. I had bottles of bath products made by trusted brands that have been around for years, but when I looked at the ingredients in these products, I couldn't even pronounce many of the synthetic-sounding chemicals listed. I also had bath products that were made with more natural ingredients. It turned out that Rylie had extremely sensitive skin and even suffered from eczema, so we ended up trying several different products until we found the right combination of shampoo and body wash that worked for her. Both of those products were more natural products that didn't contain a bunch of harsh chemicals, and we have been using them ever since.

I recently learned that one of my favorite brands launched a line of natural bath products for baby, and I was asked to review three products from the Johnson's Natural line. Johnson's Baby is one of those brands that has been around forever, and honestly, it is hard to resist the scent that comes from those yellow and pink bottles that we see in every store that sells baby products. I had to resist that "clean baby smell", though, because of the chemicals that were in those products. I just couldn't bring myself to put them on my new baby. So I was excited to learn more about Johnson's Natural baby skin care products.

Johnson's Natural Bath Products

Here are some quick facts about the new Johnson's Natural products:
  • JOHNSON'S® Brand is the #1 choice of hospitals
  • 98% natural from plant and fruit-derived ingredients
  • NO MORE TEARS® Formula
  • ALLERFREE™ allergen-free fragrance, with a clean, natural scent rooted in our ingredients
  • Paraben-free, dye-free, and allergen-free
  • No essential oils
  • Dermatologist tested
  • Designed to be gentle enough for newborns
When I opened the new Johnson's Natural products, the first thing I did was sniff for that classic Johnson's scent. The scent in these products isn't quite the same, but I honestly like it better. It is a very light, clean scent. Of course Rylie and Bryce had to smell it too and they both thought it smelled "yummy".

We have been using the Johnson's Natural products for several days, and I am happy to report that we have had no issues with it irritating my kids' sensitive skin. We are using the Head-To-Toe Foaming Baby Wash on both kids. Like other natural products, this doesn't lather as much as your typical baby wash, so I feel like I have to use a little more. The flip side of that, though, is that it doesn't make the bath water super soapy, so I don't feel like I have to rinse them off with fresh water before they get out. We have only used the Baby Shampoo on Bryce only because Rylie has a scalp condition that requires a specific shampoo (I told you she had extremely sensitive skin) and I just can't risk irritating that again for any reason. The shampoo works great on Bryce's baby fine hair, and leaves it squeaky clean. Both of the kids love the Baby Lotion, and I do too! I have extremely dry hands, and several lotions actually burn my hands when I apply it. Not the Johnson's Natural, though. It goes on smooth, is not greasy at all, and leaves my hands silky soft. Rylie has been using it on her hands, arms and legs, and it works great for her too.

The Johnson's Natural products are very reasonably priced. I have found that the more natural products usually cost more, which can cause families to go with the products that are full of chemicals in order to save some money. At less than $5 a bottle, though, you can afford to live a more natural lifestyle with these products.

If you are looking for affordable, natural products in your quest to adopt a more natural lifestyle, I definitely recommend Johnson's Natural. You can visit http://www.johnsonsbaby.com/natural for more information about the products and ingredients, receive coupons and learn how to incorporate natural living into your life.

There are so many ways to live more naturally, and we are taking baby steps to get there. I think it is great that trusted brands like Johnson's are taking their own steps to helping consumers on the path to living more naturally. What about you? What steps are you taking to live a more natural lifestyle?
