I decided that this was the year to change up our Christmas tree. We have lost several ornaments to
I found so many beautiful ornaments with very low price tags! I was first drawn to the shiny purples and reds in the Jacklyn Smith Velvet Visions collection. Then I saw the silver and blue colors of the Jacklyn Smith Midnight Clear collection. I was even more undecided when I noticed the bright colors of the Krebs Glass Ornaments.
My mom and I, along with the kids, set out on a warm Sunday afternoon to see all of the beautiful ornaments in person. After stopping for some lunch, we arrived at Kmart, ready to shop for some new tree trimmings.
Seeing everything up close made my decision even more difficult! There were several aisles of decorations to choose from, and everything was so pretty. I had a budget of $100, and after glancing at some of the super low prices, I knew I would be able to fill my tree with new ornaments.
After looking at all of the ornaments, and going back and forth to the display trees for inspiration, I finally decided on the Jacklyn Smith Midnight Clear collection.
I started by first choosing a tree skirt, and went with one that was simple, yet elegant. It also has cute pleats around the edges, which I really liked. I then scooped up the last 4 strands of blue garland.
I selected three different colors of glass ornaments, along with a package of shatterproof glitter ornaments. I may actually go back and get another package of the glitter ornaments, because they are so pretty!
I grabbed a package of pretty little bow decorations, and I also picked out some sparkly snowflakes and stars to complement all of the round glass ornaments.
Along with all of the ornaments, I also purchased some garland to decorate a shelving unit that is on the wall right next to where our tree will be.
You can check out my Google+ Kmart Holiday Album to read more about my shopping experience and see the rest of the beautiful, inexpensive holiday decorations available at Kmart.
When I checked out, I was shocked to find out that I barely went over my budget of $100. Look at everything I ended up with...
Now we just need to get our tree out so we can decorate it with all of these beautiful trimmings! Stay tuned to see the finished product...
