We are always looking for quick dinner ideas that the whole family will enjoy. Since Brian gets home only a half hour before I get home with the kids in the evenings, he doesn't have much time to prepare dinner. You see, as soon as we pull in the driveway Bryce immediately says "Eat!" before we can even get out of the car, so we like to have dinner ready when we get home, or shortly thereafter.
Not only do we have limited time to make dinner in the evenings, my kids are ridiculously picky. Lately, they are on a chicken nuggets kick. In fact, Bryce has replaced his usual "Eat!" with "Eat chicken nuggets!" Pulling through a drive through and ordering chicken nuggets would be the easy way to go, but since we want to give Rylie and Bryce more wholesome food, our freezer is always stocked with Tyson Chicken Breast Tenders and Fun Nuggets. These products from Tyson are fully-cooked and 100% all natural, with no preservatives and 0g trans fat per serving. I feel good about serving Tyson products to my kids for dinner, along with some vegetables and a glass of milk.
This past Saturday was Brian's birthday and my mom offered to come over and stay with the kids so we could go out and celebrate. We wanted to help my mom as much as possible, so we needed a quick dinner idea that we could make for her and the kids before we left for the night. We all headed out to Walmart on Saturday afternoon to find this quick dinner.

When we returned home from our afternoon shopping trip, we had a little birthday party for Daddy. The kids had fun singing "Happy Birthday" to him, and helped him blow out his candle. A few hours later, it was time to give the Tyson Mini Chicken Sandwiches a try.
The Tyson Mini Chicken Sandwiches come with or without cheddar cheese. Bryce isn't usually a big fan of cheese, so I bought a box of each. The sandwiches were super easy to prepare! There are 4 pouches of 2 sandwiches in each box. You simply pop an unopened pouch of sandwiches in the microwave for 45 to 55 seconds, turn over, and then heat for an additional 35 to 45 seconds. Cut open the pouch and dinner is served! Talk about a quick dinner! We also added some mixed vegetables to go with the sandwiches.
I was surprised at how good the Mini Chicken Sandwiches looked. The buns were very soft, which was also surprising, considering that they were heated in the microwave. My picky kids weren't as thrilled with the sandwiches as they are the Tyson Tenders and Fun Nuggets, but they both tried them. Bryce didn't eat very much, but he hasn't been eating much at meals lately anyway. Rylie ate one of her sandwiches, and at one point commented at how good the bread was.
Unfortunately, these sandwiches weren't an immediate favorite with my kids like I thought they would be. They both seem to prefer the nuggets and tenders. The adults in my house, however, loved the sandwiches. My mom thought they were great and definitely enjoyed her dinner. When I came downstairs earlier today, I even found Brian eating some for lunch.
I heated some up for lunch after I saw Brian's great idea, and I absolutely loved them! The buns were very soft, and the chicken was tasty. I usually smother my sandwiches with mayonnaise, and I actually ate these with nothing added to them. Yum! I think the next time we make chicken nuggets for the kids, Brian and I will be having the Tyson Mini Chicken Sandwiches instead!

My son is a nugget eater too not so much of a sandwich kid. My husband though can't wait to get some more of them. Haha!
