PlasmaCar Review | Countdown To Black Friday Giveaway

Rylie and Bryce love to be outside, so we try to get them outside to play as much as possible. We always have outdoor play time on the weekends, whether we are playing in the backyard on the swing set, or going for a bike ride on the trail. We also try to get them outside after dinner during the week, but now with the time change, we aren't able to do that any longer.

Bike rides are fun, but since Rylie has just really learned to pedal by herself, and Bryce can't reach the pedals on his tricycle yet, the kids often get bored and we end up pushing their bikes while they walk. We recently had the opportunity to try out a PlasmaCar, and let me tell you, our outside play time has gotten so much more fun!

The PlasmaCar is a self-propelled ride-on toy made by PlaSmart. It is so much easier for kids to operate than a bicycle. It doesn't require any pedaling. All you need is some human energy, which we all know kids possess a lot of!

The PlasmaCar was easy to assemble, which was great because the kids couldn't wait to ride it! There are only 6 different components that need to be put together, and it took about 5 minutes. Brian simply attached the rear wheels first, then he attached the front wheels and steering wheel, tightened everything down, and it was ready to ride!

It didn't take Rylie long to learn how to get the PlasmaCar going. At first Brian was giving her a little push to get her going, but once she figured it out, she didn't even need that push any longer.

All you have to do to propel the PlasmaCar forward is continuously turn the steering wheel back and forth. Seriously, there is nothing more to it. It is that easy. I will let Rylie show you how easy the PlasmaCar is to ride...

The PlasmaCar is recommended for ages 3 and up, but Bryce wanted to give it a spin, so we let him try it. He was even able to get it going fairly easily, and had a great time riding it!

The PlasmaCar can hold up to 220 pounds on a smooth surface, so it is fun for the whole family! Brian and I took turns riding up and down the sidewalk, and then the kids took turns riding with us since we were going "really, really fast!"

We have been having a great time with the PlasmaCar! I love that it is easy for the kids to ride, and that it is safe for them to do so. As long as the child is sitting properly on the car, it won't tip over, even when it veers off course into the grass. It is easy to get started and easy to stop. The PlasmaCar is very sturdy, and all of the pieces fit together securely. I feel that with proper usage, it will last a long time and will not break or fall apart.

The PlasmaCar retails for $69.99, and can be found at many local toy retailers, or from various online retailers. I feel that the regular price is a little high, but at the time of this review, I did find it at Amazon.com for $49.99, which is a more reasonable price.

The PlasmaCar would make a great Christmas gift for younger kids who want a ride-on toy that they can operate by themselves, or for older kids who just want something different to cruise around on!
