Lysol Presents: Staying Flu Free Can Be As Easy As 1-2-3 {AMEX GC Giveaway}

Lysol

The dreadful cold and flu season has begun. In fact, I believe a nasty little virus has already hit our house. Bryce and I both have the sniffles and coughs, and thank goodness that is all it is. I have never had the full blown flu, and I certainly don't want to get it.

So how can we keep our families flu-free this year? Lysol presents Staying Flu-Free can be as easy as 1-2-3, with these 3 tips:
  1. Get a flu shot (as the CDC recommends)
  2. Wash your hands with soap and water. Scrub thoroughly for 20 seconds
  3. Routinely clean and disinfect surfaces

Lysol Flu Badge

Lysol has created the Great American Flu Shot Challenge that could reward you for helping to spread awareness of the importance of getting a flu shot. Create a flu-free network with your Facebook friends, and you could win cash prizes! Join the challenge to learn about how to receive a $5 rebate on your flu shot, and share the Flu Fighter Badge with your digital friends and family. The person who has the most friends in their flu-free network by December 15th, could win a $1,500 grand prize, $1,000 2nd place prize or $500 3rd place prize.

Questions? Raise your hands! Lysol knows that we all have questions about how to keep our families flu free, so they are offering a free expert live chat with Dr. Jana, an Omaha-based pediatrician. Tune in next Thursday, Nov. 17th @ 2pm CST/3pm EST to ask Dr. Jana questions on keeping your family healthy during cold & flu Season and get answers live.

You can post your questions in advance, or during the chat, which you can watch right here:

Do you have a question for Dr. Jana regarding flu prevention? You can post it above, on Lysol's Facebook page, or at Lysol.com.

I left this question for Dr. Jana: What's your advice for staying healthy and germ free while flying? What are the trouble spots on the plane, in the airport, in public transport, etc., to watch out for, and what can we do to minimize our risk of falling ill when changing time zones? Thanks!

The question that I posted in the box above the rafflecopter is:

I often argue with my hubby that our 3 yr old should always use hand sanitizer to prevent the spread of germs. He argues that hand-washing is always the best method. I think that in this age group hand sanitizer is better to prevent the spread of germs because most 3yr old children don't wash their hands properly, if and when they remember to even wash their hands. What do you think?

I have a little grandson very premature and hope he is home by Christmas or New Years. Wondering if all of US should have flu shots before he gets home. One clinic said for infants too young? to immunize, that the "herd", or other family members should be. But, don't people still carry the germs themselves even if they dont GET the flu?

thanks
