Fun Gifts From Think Geek Review | Countdown To Black Friday Giveaway

Think Geek

Do you have a Geek in your life? If you know me at all then you know I do. My husband is a software developer, and always seems to have the latest and greatest in electronic and technological devices. He just likes cool stuff. There is one website out there where you can always find the coolest gadgets and other "stuff for smart masses", and that site is Think Geek!

Think Geek has some great gift ideas for all of the geeks on your Christmas list. They have gifts for men like the Kiwi Bluetooth Android Phone Car Diagnostic Kit, gifts for women like the Beating Heart Stress Relief Pillow, and even gifts for kids like the super cool Loopa Gyroscopic Toddler Bowls.

Kiwi Bluetooth Android Phone Car Diagnostic Kit Beating Heart Stress Relief Pillow Loopa Gyroscopic Toddler Bowls

When you visit Think Geek to do your Christmas shopping you will also find great stocking stuffers like Astronaut Ice Cream, fun apparel, and the neatest gadgets around like the R2-D2 USB Hub!

Astronaut Ice Cream I Love My Geek Babydoll Tee R2-D2 USB Hub

So what is on my wish list from Think Geek? Why, a Lightsaber, of course!

Star Wars Force FX Lightsabers

I have a confession to make: I have secretly wanted a lightsaber ever since I watched Star Wars for the first time. How awesome would I be if I walked around with a lightsaber? Seriously. OK, so there is a little geek in me too!

When it came time to choose an item for review from Think Geek, I put my secret desire for a lightsaber aside and decided to get something for my kids instead. With a dad like Brian, they are destined to become geeks at some point, right? I ended up choosing the Hide & Seek Plush Monkey.

Hide & Seek Plush Monkey

He is cute, right? He is more than just cute, though, he is a lot of fun too! This monkey plays hide and seek with your "wee geek". He hides around the house while your child tracks it with the wand. When the wand gets close enough to him, he makes noises to give hints as to where he is hiding.

The best way to demonstrate how he works is with a couple of videos. Make sure you have your sound up so you can hear the monkey.

My kids love this monkey! They played with it for hours that first night we opened it. Every time they found him, they asked me to hide him again. This is one toy that is played with over and over again, and I don't see him getting old any time soon.

Rylie found the monkey Rylie and Hide & Seek Plush Monkey

We did have a couple of issues with the monkey shutting off while we were playing with him, but we turned him off and then back on again and all was right with the world. The wand doesn't have an extremely long range on it, but the kids have to be close enough to hear it anyway.

The Hide & Seek Plush Monkey retails for $34.95. I feel that the price is right on for the type of toy this is. Other than the couple instances where it seemed to shut off while we were playing with it, we haven't had any issues with it. This monkey would make a great gift for the "wee geeks" on your list!

Disclosure: All opinions are my own. I received the Hide & Seek Plush Monkey at no cost for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was received. A big thank you to Think Geek for providing the giveaway prize!
