Since I am a mom of a 3 year old and a 2 year old, I am very familiar with the Playskool brand from Hasbro. I know I had Playskool toys as a kid, and today they are still bringing us great toys like Alphie, Mr. Potato Head, Weebles and more. One brand of Playskool toys that my kids are a big fan of is Sesame Street. Rylie and Bryce love Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird and all of their friends.
Sesame Street has some hot toys out for little ones this year, like Let's Rock! Elmo, Count 'n Crunch Cookie Monster and Elmo's Find & Learn Alphabet Blocks. These toys are not only fun, but educational too, just like the TV show.
Bryce has a few Elmo toys, and seems to have taken over all of Rylie's too. He loves that "little red dynamo"! He also has a Cookie Monster toothbrush, and lately he has been asking to use that every night rather than the other two he has. So when I was given the opportunity to review the Count 'n Crunch Cookie Monster, I knew he would be excited.
One… Two… Three… Cookie Monster loves to munch on cookies while counting. Cookie Monster also loves to be tickled - press his foot repeatedly to make him giggle and squirm!
As a mom, I really like the educational aspect of this Cookie Monster toy. As your child feeds him his cookies he counts each one, up to three. Once he has eaten all of his cookies, your child can look in his backpack to find more cookies. He also uses his manners and says "please", "thank you" and "excuse me". The only thing that would make this toy better is if there were ten cookies for Cookie Monster to count.
Kids will like everything about this fun toy. They will have so much fun with Cookie Monster, and will be learning at the same time. His voice is great, and his antics will make kids want to feed him those cookies over and over again!
The age recommendation for the Count 'n Crunch Cookie Monster is 18M-4Y, and I think that is right on! Even though Bryce is 2 and can already count to 10, I know he will enjoy feeding Cookie Monster and counting along with him. Rylie is almost 4, and while I'm sure she will play with this with her brother, I doubt it would hold her attention for very long.
The Count 'n Crunch Cookie Monster retails for around $29.99 and can be found online and at major toy retailers. At the time of this review, I found it on Amazon.com for $24. This would make a great Christmas Gift for any Sesame Street Fan!
