Get Fashionable With dENIZEN Jeans {Review}

dENIZEN

I have a love/hate relationship with jeans. I love to wear them, but I hate trying to find that perfect pair. Most jeans that I try on are too tight in the waist, but if I go up a bigger size, then they are too big everywhere else. I can't find a good length, either. I have tried on several pairs of jeans in the last few months, even brands I know and almost-love, and while the regular length is always too long, the ankle length is always too short.

Since losing all the weight I have lost over the past year or so, I have had to retire all of my jeans, and don't have any that fit really well at the moment. So when I was asked to review the new dENIZEN jeans from Levi's, I was happy to oblige in the hopes that I would find some jeans I love.

The dENIZEN brand was launched in Asia in 2010, and was introduced in the United States in July of this year. They are available exclusively at Target in many styles for men, women and children. Made from the people who invented the classic American jeans, dENIZEN features the premium craftsmanship and classic American look that Levi Strauss & Company is known for, with a modern twist.

I received the dENIZEN Mid Rise Boot Cut jeans in Really Dark Wash. When I first took them out of the package, I didn't really care for the color, but once I put the jeans on, I found that the darker color is actually very slimming.

The waist of these "mid-rise" jeans fell an inch or so below my belly button, which is a cut I normally go for. Unfortunately, like many other jeans I have tried, they are just a little too tight in the waist, so I get the ole "muffin top" if I wear a shirt that is too tight. I know I could not go up a size, though, because the legs in these were already a tad bit big. The waist was not too tight to be uncomfortable, though, and they look fine with a loose shirt.

Speaking of comfort, the dENIZEN jeans are quite comfortable. The material is thin and soft, and not stiff at all like some jeans can be. Since it is "summer" here in Florida for 9-10 months out of the year, I prefer jeans that use a thinner material. They have a little stretch to them and I was able to sit comfortably in them all day.

The length was almost perfect for me. They actually look great with flip flops or a low heel, but I think they would look better with higher heels if they were about an inch longer. I received the medium length, and I was happy to see that the medium length is in line with my average height of 5' 6".

Have I found the perfect jeans? Not quite, but the dENIZEN brand jeans are very close. I will definitely be trying the other styles available to see if they fit a little better. Overall, though, I do almost-love my dENIZEN jeans and I will definitely be wearing them often.

dENIZEN brand jeans are available exclusively at Target. The retail price is $24.99-$27.99 for women, $22.99-$29.99 for men and $17.99-$19.99 for kids, which I feel is very affordable.

Visit the dENIZEN America Facebook page for more information on these stylish, comfortable and affordable jeans.
