Get Back To Basics With Coca-Cola Family Night {Review & Giveaway}

Can you believe we are already halfway through the month of October? The lazy days of summer are over, and everyone is back into the hustle and bustle of the school year. The holidays are quickly approaching, which means life will get even busier for the next few months.

Coca-Cola wants to help your family get back to basics with Coca-Cola Family Night through My Coke Rewards. Whether it’s new snack recipes, tips on at-home activities or the latest in gaming technology, Coca-Cola has some great ideas for family togetherness.

There are so many fun features to check out at My Coke Rewards/Family! There is a section called Game Together that includes video game suggestions the whole family will enjoy, along with some game offers. The next section, Play Together, has some great ideas for ways to hang out together as a family like going on a scavenger hunt and playing kickball. The Snack Together section has some yummy recipes by Chef Garvin, and other snack ideas to add to your family fun events. My Coke Rewards sent us a fabulous gift pack to help kick off a board game inspired Family Night at our house! This gift pack included some classic games, all recreated around my favorite drink! We received Coca-Cola Yahtzee, Coca-Cola Monopoly, Coca-Cola Checkers, a Coca-Cola dominoes case filled with mini dominoes, a Coca-Cola puzzle, a coupon for a free bottle of Coke, and an American Express Gift Card to help with snacks for our Family Night.

I was beyond thrilled to receive this gift pack! I have loved board games ever since I was a child, and I can't wait until my kids are a little older so we can all play board games together. We just recently introduced Rylie to a few simple games like Candy Land, and she really enjoys playing them. I remember staying up all hours of the night playing board games with my brother, and I hope my kids will want to take a break from the electronics from time to time and spend evenings playing board games together.

I think my all time favorite game is Yahtzee. When I think of Yahtzee, I have fond memories of playing it with my dad. He would get so excited for me when I would yell out "YAHTZEE!" It was a fun competition between the two of us, and we always had such a good time. When my brother and I got older, we used to play the whole card at once. That made for a longer game, but definitely gave us more chances to get those Yahtzees!

The Coca-Cola themed Yahtzee game is too cool! The dice have Coca-Cola logos and other Coca-Cola images on them, with a little number in the corner so you know what they stand for. The shaker is even a Coca-Cola fountain glass! Even though Bryce is too young to understand the game, he enjoyed helping me roll the dice.

The Coca-Cola Checkers Mat was another one of my favorites from this great gift pack. It is one of those large woven mats with the big checkers on them. The checkers are all embossed with the Coca-Cola logo too! Once you are done playing, everything is stored nicely in a plastic bag that has more game ideas on it.

We will definitely be having Family Fun Nights with these games in the future!
