Freshen Your Home With Febreze Set & Refresh {Review}

Up until just recently, we had 4 pets in my house, and sometimes my mom's dogs visit, which adds two more. Over the years, the pets have had accidents, and for whatever reason, those accidents usually occurred in our front room. We cleaned them up as soon as we noticed them, but I was always afraid that the smells still lingered. Therefore, any time I knew someone was coming over, I would light a candle out in that room to make it smell pleasant for my guests.

I always wonder what people smell when they first walk in my house. Do they walk in and immediately know that I have pets, because of the accidents that have happened in our front room? When the candle is burning out there, I'm sure they smell whatever scent that is giving off. But what about when I don't have that candle burning? I was so worried about what that front room smelled like that we actually just replaced our carpet with hardwood floors.

I would love to leave candles burning at all times to keep my house smelling nice, but obviously that isn't safe. Or very cost effective, for that matter. There are a few other ways to constantly freshen your home, but up until now, I haven't found one that works for me. I don't like the kind that you plug in, because I am always afraid of them burning up, or somehow causing a fire. I also don't like the kind that emit a spray every 30 minutes, because I have gotten sprayed in the face several times, and that isn't pleasant.

I recently received the Febreze Set & Refresh system in Linen & Sky, along with a Dual Refill pack to review. Since I'm not too concerned about the smell of my front room any longer, I decided to try the unit out in the guest bathroom at the top of the stairs.

The Febreze Set & Refresh is super easy to use. You simply place the scented oil cartridge into the Set & Refresh unit until it clicks. You don't cut or puncture the cartridge, so there is absolutely no mess. Once the cartridge is in place, you can control how much scent it gives off by simply pushing down on the unit for smaller areas, or pulling up on it to give off more scent for larger areas.

I really like the clean design of the Febreze Set & Refresh. It has a sleek, modern design so it fits into any decor. It actually matched our guest bathroom very well.

The Linen & Sky scent is described on the Febreze website as "the fresh scent of sun-dried laundry with hints of honeysuckle."

When I first set the unit up in the bathroom, I thought the scent was a little overpowering. I pushed the unit down so that it would give off less scent, and left it in the bathroom. A short time later I came up the stairs, and when I reached the top, I could smell the pleasant, clean scent coming from the Set & Refresh unit in the bathroom. It was a very nice scent, and not overpowering at all. I think in the small space that it is in, it just needed to be pushed down so it didn't give off as much of a scent.

After going up the stairs a few times and smelling the Linen & Sky scent from the Set & Refresh unit, I decided that I liked it too much to leave in the guest bathroom that doesn't get used much. It is now in our master bathroom!

I really like the Febreze Set & Refresh air freshener, and I plan on purchasing more for other areas of my house. The units come in eight different scents, and various colors. You can also purchase the Dual Refills so you can try new fragrances without having to throw away the entire Set & Refresh unit. I think I will try the Hawaiian Aloha next!

If you want an inexpensive, visually appealing air freshener that does not require plugs or batteries, and won't spray you as you walk by, I highly recommend Febreze Set & Refresh!
