I can't start my mornings without a cup or two, and I enjoy a cup as a pick me up later in the day. So of course I was thrilled when I was asked to review the new Farberware 12-Cup Programmable Coffee & Tea Maker!

I absolutely love the look of this coffee maker! Kitchens have come a long way over the years, and Farberware is keeping up with the times. The sleek, modern design of this new coffee maker will look great in any kitchen.

It’s two for tea—and coffee, too—with this chic, two-in-one marvel from Farberware®. This stainless steel unit touts two specialized permanent filters for coffee grinds and tea leaves, plus a unique water filtration system, ensuring pure, piping-hot cups of your favorite brews each time. Automatic brewing, a brew strength selector and even a freshness indicator help take out some of the guesswork, while the 1-4 cup brew option adjusts drip speed and extraction time, meaning you get the same great results from a smaller pot as you would from a full, Perfect Pour® carafe. So what does this coffee aficionado think about it? Well, not only does it look great, it works great too! It is easy to use, and functions like most coffee makers. You simply fill the water reservoir with the desired amount of water, insert the filter basket and place either the permanent filter or a paper filter in it, add the coffee grounds and press the ON/OFF button to brew your coffee.

If you are a tea drinker, this machine also comes with a permanent filter to make tea, so that the coffee and tea flavors do not mix. We aren't really tea drinkers in our house, so we didn't have any loose tea leaves to brew tea, but the process is very similar and seems quite simple.

This Farberware Coffee & Tea Maker has some great features. The auto-brew programming is a must-have on any coffee maker. I like my coffee to be ready when I get up in the morning! Another must-have feature for me is the auto shut-off. This way I don't have to wonder if I turned the coffee pot off or not. No one likes to come home to the smell of burnt coffee, or take the chance of starting a fire. The Sneak-A-Cup feature is great for those days when I just can't wait to have that first sip!

I have had several cups of coffee out of this new coffee maker, and every cup has tasted great, thanks to the water filtration system. There is a 1-4 cup brew option that will extract maximum flavor for smaller pots. You can also use the brew strength selector to choose the strength of your coffee.

Over all, this is a great appliance, with a lot of features that I look for in a coffee maker. I have no complaints and I definitely recommend it. It is very affordable at a suggested retail price of $59.88. It is currently available in select Walmart stores and at FarberwareProducts.com, and will be available in all Walmart stores in November.
