Welcome to another fun Saturday Playdate! Today we are playing with Emily from Family and Life in Las Vegas, a Las Vegas based blog where she writes about "in true Las Vegas fashion" a little bit of everything. Weekly features include parenting tidbits, a weekly toddler talk, and a top ten Tuesday post. You will also find posts about parenting while her spouse is deployed, posts on fitness for moms as part of her FitFluential Ambassadorship, and lots and lots of pictures of her two year old son Squishy. Emily is a huge fan of giving back to her community and is currently chairing a campaign called Spread The Warmth, a charity fundraiser/giveaway event to raise money and awareness for Embrace Infant Warmers.
When you're done here, please stop by Family and Life in Las Vegas and give Emily some comment love. Let her know you stopped by from the Playdate.
If you are anything like me, then you are one busy woman! Sometimes I don’t understand how life as a stay at home mother can possibly be so busy, but if you take into account that I take care of our home, do most of the laundry, run errands, take the Squishy to all his activities, cook, and so much more, it makes more sense.
Then add in the fact that I am a single parent for about ½ of the year while my husband is deployed overseas for his job, it makes a a lot more sense. Even when my hubs is home, I feel like our time is so limited we are always running to get things done.
Sometimes “me time” only comes in the form of ten minutes here, or ten minutes there. It may have taken me 2 years to figure it out, but even ten minutes of “me time” can really recharge your mommy batteries.
10 Things to do in 10 minutes
Paint your nailsPrepare a snack
Soak up some Vitamin D
Read a book
Do a quick workout
Play with a new hairstyle
Meditate
Look a pictures of vacation spots
Snuggle with your hubby
Rest your eyes
Now that I have figured out that I can refresh my myself in a few minutes a day, I try to find 10 minutes where ever I can. Being a stay at home mom is super rewarding but that doesn’t mean we don’t all value our time to ourselves.
What things do you like to do with your “me time”?
Thanks for stopping by for our Playdate! I hope you had fun! If you would like to come over for a Playdate, let me know in a comment or an email.
