Welcome to another fun Saturday Playdate! Today we're playing with Shannon from Baby Shmizz. Her cute blog is all about her cute family, with the star being her adorable little boy Jack. Shannon says it like it is, and her blog is a fun read!
When you're done here, please check out Baby Shmizz. Give Shannon some comment love and let her know you stopped by from the Playdate.
Hi Everyone!
My name is Shannon, I'm a 30 year old first time Mom to my son, Jack. My husband and I live north of Boston, in a
Many thanks to LeeAnn for indulging me in posting for such a huge audience, I feel honored! I hope you guys like what you read, and if you do, come over and follow along - it's a little hectic, a little sappy and a whole lot of fun :)

Things that a Mom, somewhere, someday, should invent....
You know how like once a week, you think of something that would make your life like 100% easier? And you wish how someone would invent it so you could buy it?
Or better yet you invent it yourself and make a cool million on it?
I've noticed that I've had these daydreams & schemes so much more now that I am a parent. I thought I'd share with you some of my potential inventions. Because
Naptime Notifier

It's 12:45 pm. Your sweet little babe has just fallen to sleep for his morning nap. Suddenly, the construction workers down the street think its a perfect time to start nailing down a roof. And using a chainsaw. Not 20 seconds after this all starts, the kids in the house behind you decide its prime time for jumping into their pool, screaming "Caaannnnonnnnballlllll!!!!" at the top of their 10 year old lungs.
Enter, the Nap Notifier. A blazing neon & lights sign that sits atop your house, and turns on when your child falls asleep. You can customize it with your own message, however I recommend this short and sweet little number:
-STFU My Kid is Sleeping!
Pacifier HeadGear

It's the middle of the night. Your kid has lost his/her pacifier again. You put it back into his/her mouth and stumble back to bed. Only to be awoken less than 5 minutes later for a repeat offense.
Save yourself some time and effort, get yourself a Pacifier HeadGear! It's like HeadGear for braces, only cooler :) A soft stretchy strap that attaches to the sides of the pacifier, goes around the ears and onto the head, and keeps the paci right in position. No more getting up to put it back in, just sleep through the night with a Pacifier HeadGear!
InstaFloor

Little Johnny is learning to walk. He already has taught himself how to crawl up onto things and then is learning to crawl down off of them. Of course, because he is a little boy, he has a knack for dive-bombing off the couch onto the floor. And your floor, like most floors, is hard! Which means Little Johnny gets a lot of bumps on his cute little head :(
Prevent those ouchies & booboos with InstaFloor! Flip a switch on your wall when Johnny is ready to do Toddler Gymnastics and the exposed floor becomes soft, kinda like a cross between a waterbed and a gym mat. Time for bedtime? Flip that switch again, stand up and walk on your nice hard floor up the stairs to put him to sleep. Soft when you need it, hard when you don't.
***Disclaimer: obviously these ideas are not practical or safe in any way, so please don't think that I use things like this on my child, this is purely meant for entertainment and is in no way a true or accurate representation of my parenting or baby gear stash.
Thanks for stopping by for our Playdate! I hope you had fun! If you would like to come over for a Playdate, let me know in a comment or an email.
