Go Back To School With My Pal For My School {Review & Giveaway}

Rylie (well, and Bryce too!) loves dolls. So when I was asked if I wanted to review a My Pal Doll, I immediately said yes. That was the first time I had ever heard of My Sibling and My Pall Dolls, and since then I have learned that this company is much more than just dolls!

LorettaRose, LLC is a family-owned company whose mission is to produce high quality dolls and plush toys with booklets for children to learn from and enjoy. Our focus is on raising children's social consciousness about caring for their peers and environment. We educate the public about the need for more services for teens and adults with developmental differences, and we provide work experiences and training to these individuals. Please read more below about the My Sibling/My Pal Work Experience Program. Many of our products are made in the USA.

The Work Experience Program is such an excellent program! This program was created by LorettaRose, LLC after they recognized that there are very few employment options available to teens and adults with disabilities. Through this program, adults and teens with disabilities can find jobs dressing, accessorizing, packaging, and labeling dolls, and packaging, labeling and assembly of other products, such as autism awareness items.

Now that you know what a wonderful company this is, let me tell you about these great dolls! My Pal Dolls are Friends for any Reason, any Season. My Pals are 18" boy dolls, girl dolls or plush toys, each of which has a socially relevant purpose or cause to promote. Each month there is a doll of the month, and the doll for the month of August is My Pal for My School.

My Pal for My School 18" boy doll or 18" girl doll is a buddy for children who have a strong interest in their school community. In the booklet that comes with the doll, they can write their own story about special school activities they have participated in with their friends and teachers, as well as the everyday experiences. The text of the booklet can be customized for each school, such as: school name on the cover with school or district logo; school history; prompt for writing a story about their school; book titles and website addresses for further study by students that relates to the school's curriculum. Some suggestions about what children can do to have the "best ever" school experience are explained. Our booklet is printed in the USA, usually on recycled paper, unless otherwise requested by the school district.

We received the My Pal for My School 18" girl doll to review. She really is a beautiful doll with her dark brown hair and dark eyes that open and close. She has a soft body and poseable head, arms and legs. The quality of the doll is exceptional!

Rylie loves her doll! She even named this doll, which is something she doesn't normally do. Her doll's name is Camdyn, who we recently went to the beach with and who Rylie misses.

The book that comes with the My Pal Dolls allows kids to tell their own story. This particular book has spots you can fill in with information about your school.

The My Pal for My School doll really is a great doll! The blue sweatsuit outfit that she is wearing is good quality and super cute. She has shoes and socks on too, well, when Rylie wants her to have them on. The shoes usually come off when it is time for bed.

I'm not sure what exactly happened to Camdyn's forehead, but she had quite the boo boo for a couple of days.

Also available each month are plush friends who compliment the dolls. The My Pal plush toys also come with books.

The My Pal for My School Dolls retail for $32, and the plush for $10. The dolls can be purchased directly from the My Sibling and My Pal online store.

Here is a sneak peak at next month's doll of the month, which is My Pal for Peace. I think these dolls are super cute!

I want to also mention the My Sibling Dolls, because I think these dolls are great tools to teach children about compassion for those with disabilities.

My Sibling dolls come with booklets containing real-life stories about the special needs of siblings with developmental differences and also provides helpful facts and resources.

The My Sibling Doll of the month for August is Matty. Matty is 7 years old and has a younger sister who has Autism. The story that comes with Matty is about understanding why his sister gets upset every time they go to the supermarket. This book teaches compassion and understanding for those with Autism.
