Fun Day At Downtown Disney

We had another crazy busy weekend this past weekend! It seems like most of our weekends are of that variety these days.

Bryce was home with Mama all last week recovering from his surgery and is doing very well! That little guy is one tough cookie, and other than diaper changes, you would not know anything had ever happened to him. Mama took the kids to see Smurfs on Friday, and Bryce did very well at his first movie! He loved it!

We were invited to a screening of Lion King 3D on Saturday, and even though Bryce did well at the Smurfs, I knew that he wouldn't want to wear the 3D glasses. Since we had 4 tickets, Brian and I let Rylie invite a friend, and her buddy Cole came with us. The movie was at Downtown Disney, so we headed out early Saturday morning. The kids were so excited to spend the day together!

We got into the movie, got our 3D glasses and some snacks, and watched one of the greatest Disney films ever in 3D! (More on that in the next few days...)

After the movie we stopped into this new shop called Ridemakerz, where you can build your own cars. They also have cars on all of the walls with signs that say "PLEASE TOUCH", and an area to play with them in. The kids loved it!

We were all pretty hungry so we headed over to the T-Rex Cafe for some lunch. Once we ordered our food, I walked around with Cole and Rylie so they could check everything out.

I can't tell you how much these two love each other. They always have so much fun playing together and were just all smiles all day long!

Here they are being "scared" of the T-Rex. Trust me, they aren't pretending all that much, and I barely had time to snap that picture before they were begging Brian to get them down.

Since the kids had been so good all day, we decided to let them build their own dinos at Build-A-Dino by Build-A-Bear Workshop. They picked out their dinos and then had to give them the hug test after they were stuffed. They both passed!

Once they were stuffed with stuffing, a ROOOOOAAAAAR sound and a heart that they each filled with love, they had to give their new dinos baths.

Rylie named her dino "Princess Steggie" (since she was a Stegosaurus) and dressed her in a mini skirt, a tank and some sparkly sandals. That is totally something Rylie would like to wear herself!

Say it with me, "Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww"...

What a fun day! Of course the kids had a blast, but Brian and I had a great time seeing their smiles all day. As you can imagine, those smiles and bright eyes quickly faded once we started driving.

Sleepy Kids

We finished off Saturday with an adult night out to celebrate a friend's birthday. We had a lazy morning on Sunday, and then ventured out to run some errands and get Bryce's hair cut before his birthday party in two weeks. I can't believe my baby is almost TWO!

I hope everyone has a fantastic week!

Awe. Brings back memories of a very rainy day that we spent there once :) Love how the Dinos tails are sticking out of the box. Looks like fun! We can't wait to get over there again soon!

I will say it with you...
"awwwww." These two are so cute!! Enjoy the that fact that Rylie is okay with playing with boys still. Christopher always had both boy and girl playdates. Seems as though he is starting to move toward wanting to play with just the 'boys' more....LOL!
