Jeep Wrangler Twin Sport All Weather Stroller By Kolcraft {Review & Giveaway}

Since my kids are only 20 months apart, I didn't need to purchase a lot of the "big-ticket" baby items when I got pregnant with Bryce. When we bought our large items (car seat, stroller, pack 'n' play) for Rylie, we made sure that the colors were unisex, because we planned on having another child within the next two years.

One large item we did need for our second child was a double stroller. I will admit that I really did not do any research when it came to that purchase. I wanted the double stroller that matched our infant seat since I knew we would be putting the infant seat in it for a while, so we purchased that one without considering any others. What a mistake. Don't get me wrong, the stroller was great when Bryce was an infant, but as he got older I realized that it did not have a lot of features I wanted in a stroller.

The stroller we had was a front-and-back type double stroller. That is fine when you have a toddler and an infant, but not so great when you have two young children that both want to sit in the front. That stroller was also quite heavy. It weighed over 40 pounds, and was difficult for me to get in and out of my SUV. For the last year or so, I have been looking at different side-by-side strollers because I knew that type of stroller would be a better fit for our needs.

We recently received the Jeep Wrangler Twin Sport All Weather Stroller by Kolcraft to review. This stroller seemed like everything I was looking for in a double stroller! The first part of the product description on the Kolcraft website asks "Do you have 2 little adventurers? Do they both want the front seat?" Yes and Yes.

We were very eager to try this stroller out when it arrived. We pulled it out of the box and all we had to do was attach the wheels and the canopies. It took Brian about 5 minutes to put it together and we were ready to give it a test drive.

The reason this stroller is an "all weather" stroller is because it will keep your children cool in the summer and warm in the winter. This is a great feature for us right now because it is so hot out. When the kids are confined to the stroller, they definitely sweat more. See those little "pillows" on the headrests in the above picture? If you keep those rolled up, the back of the stroller is mesh for increased air circulation. In the winter, simply roll those pillows down to create a seat pad that will protect your child from the wind and keep them warm in cooler weather. Each seat also has a canopy to shield your kids' eyes from the sun and keep them shaded.

Something else I look for in a stroller is storage. I need it to have handles that I can put bags on when I am out shopping. I also like little storage pockets to hold snacks, toys, my keys, or any other smaller items I may need to get to quickly. A cup holder is a must. The Jeep stroller has all of those!

Another feature I look for in a stroller is the ability to recline. Even before I had children, I always felt so bad for those kids that fell asleep in strollers that didn't recline. Their little heads would be hanging forward and they looked so uncomfortable. The Jeep Wrangler Twin Sport also has this feature. Both seats independently recline to a comfortable 26 degrees.

The Jeep double stroller is very lightweight compared to many double strollers. It weighs just under 23 pounds. It folds up easily and quickly, and is very compact when folded.

So what do my two little adventurers think about our new stroller? They love it! They both enjoy their unobstructed views of the great big world out there. No one has to be stuck in the back!

We have used our Jeep Wrangler Twin Sport stroller several times in the past few weeks. Many people think that side by side strollers are difficult to maneuver through stores, but honestly, they are easier. The stroller is just wide enough to fit the kids comfortably, yet it still fits through a standard size doorway. It is easy to maneuver, even in smaller aisles in stores. The all-terrain wheels make it easy to push on just about any surface.

There are two drawbacks to this stroller. The first is that I wish it had more storage. It would be nice if there were small mesh baskets underneath the seats to store my diaper bag, extra clothes, etc. in. We have also had an issue with the canopies occasionally popping off when we fold the stroller up. It is easy to put them back on, though, so it is a small inconvenience, if that.

Over all, I love this stroller! It has the features that everyone in our family wants in a double stroller!

The Jeep Wrangler Twin Sport All Weather Stroller by Kolcraft retails for $129.99. It can be purchased at major retailers in-store and online, such as Babies R Us, Target and Amazon. I feel that this is an average price for a stroller of this type.
