Gear Up For Outdoor Adventures With Backyard Safari Outfitters {Review}

Backyard Safari Outfitters

Summer is here, and even with the 90+ degree temperatures we have been experiencing in Central Florida, summer means being outdoors. Sure, there are plenty of places we can take the kids during the summer, but some days it is just easier to stay home and have fun in our own backyard. Backyard Safari Outfitters provided us with some great gear to do just that!

Are you geared up for summer adventures? The gear from Backyard Safari Outfitters is rugged, functional and made for year round use. They have everything you need for a safari at the beach, the park, or in your own backyard!

Backyard Safari Outfitters has introduced some great new products this summer. One of those new products we received for review was the Base Camp Field Shelter. Along with the shelter, we also received the Camouflage so our base camp would blend in to the environment while we went on our safari.

BSO Base Camp Expedition

The Base Camp was very easy to assemble. Even though it is lightweight, it is very sturdy and stays upright. It is over 40" tall, so it is plenty big enough for several explorers. The shelter has storage spaces for all of your field gear, and a real working lantern!

We also received some of the field gear to use on our safari - the Lazer Light Bug Vacuum, Hiking Stick, and Essential Cargo Vest. These products are all recommended for kids 5 and up, so they were a little bit big for my little ones, but they thought they were great anyway! All of the gear was very sturdy and put together well.

Rylie put on her cargo vest and was ready for a safari! As you can see, it is a little large on her, but she didn't mind one bit. She loved wearing it while on her safari in the backyard. Once she inspected her Base Camp, she was ready to wrangle some bugs. She looks like she means business, doesn't she? I fear for any bugs that cross her path!

Bryce and Daddy joined Rylie at Base Camp to formulate a plan for the bug wrangling! As you can see, even big kids can join in on the safari!

We ended up with two of the Bug Vacuums, which we were so happy about! Rylie gave Bryce a quick lesson in bug wrangling, and they were off to catch some bugs!

The Bug Vacuums were actually very easy for the kids to use. Once a bug gets sucked up in the vacuum, there is a built in magnifying glass so you can see your catch up close. Rylie was very proud of her capture!

We have really had a lot of fun with the Backyard Safari Outfitters gear. I love that it sparks imagination and pretend play in my kids. They have been on some great adventures so far this summer!

Most products come with a Pop-Up Field Guide, which gives your children exciting missions to complete with their gear. Once these missions are completed, your children are rewarded with a patch that can be ironed on to their Cargo Vest. They will want to collect them all!

I highly recommend the gear from Backyard Safari Outfitters! The next time you are looking to explore the great big world out there with your children, GEAR UP with Backyard Safari Outfitters! To find out about new gear, follow Backyard Safari Outfitters on Facebook and Twitter.

Rylie and Bryce aren't the only little adventurers that think this gear is great. Head on over to the Backyard Safari Outfitters Review at Thanks, Mail Carrier to see what kind of expeditions her little explorers have been on this summer!

Disclosure: All opinions are my own. This review was made possible by Team Mom. I received the Backyard Safari Outfitters gear at no cost for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was received.
