Fun Night Out With Chevy And The Girls

Last Thursday I told you all that I was going out for a Mom's Night Out with Chevy. It was such a great time! I met up with 9 other fabulous bloggers for an evening of pampering, great food, and awesome cars, courtesy of GM in the Southeast.

We all met up at J. Bauman Salon for some beautification and pampering before we headed out. We had our choice of a manicure, pedicure, or shampoo and style. After working all day, my hair needed some touching up, so I went for the shampoo and style. I love getting my hair washed by someone else! She even gave me a conditioning treatment since my hair is so damaged because of Keratin treatments. My hair looked great once it was done and I flattened it out a little. I don't know what it is about hair stylists, but they always like to give me big hair! Once we were all pretty and pampered, we got ready to head out.

When we walked outside from the salon, there were 3 great Chevrolet cars for us to ride to the restaurant in - the Tahoe Hybrid, Camaro and Volt. I'm an SUV girl at heart, and I really wanted to check out the Tahoe Hybrid, but when I saw that red Camaro, I just couldn't help myself. It has been so long since I have ridden in a sports car. So I stuffed myself in the backseat of the Camaro while Suz got behind the wheel and Becca rode shotgun, and off we went.

The Camaro came equipped with OnStar, so we tried using the automated system to get directions to Crave. After the automated system wasn't understanding our commands, we called in and spoke to an operator, who sent the directions to our car. It was pretty cool to be able to get directions that quickly. I don't think you would ever get lost in a car that is equipped with OnStar!

The Camaro is a great ride! Suz was definitely no stranger to fast cars from what I could tell. Traffic was still congested from rush hour, but she did manage to test out the speed of the Camaro when she could. The car handled great and was certainly quick. It is definitely a fun car!

I heard great things about the Tahoe and the Volt too. The Tahoe has adjustable pedals, so the short girls were "rejoicing" over that! I was just imagining how much money I would save in gas if I drove a Volt.

Our dinner at Crave was awesome! Not only did we have some great food, but we had some fun conversation too. I definitely made some new friends that night!

We were treated to a variety of food that just seemed to keep coming to our table. It was all so good! Some of the Crave menu items we tried were the Mediterranean Plate with hummus, olives and roasted garlic, Tuna Tataki, Lobster Macaroni, Fresh Margherita Pizza and Chipotle BBQ Chicken Pizza. Yum! Even though we were all full from dinner, we still saved room for dessert. They brought out a selection of miniature desserts, from which I selected the Key Lime Pie. It was delicious!

After dinner, we headed out for one last spin in the great Chevrolet cars.

Since I had so much fun riding in the Camaro, I figured I should probably drive it so that I could really experience it. I got in with two of the three Jennifers and zoomed off.

It was a fun ride! We ended up taking a "long cut" and were the last ones back, but it didn't matter. We were having so much fun!

Excuse the crazed look on my face...I told you it had been a while since I had driven a sports car!

Thank you so much to GM in the Southeast for putting on such a great Mom's Night Out! I can't wait to get together with these ladies again!
