I have lived in Orlando since 1999, and just recently experienced Cafe Tu Tu Tango for the first time. I don't know why it took me so long to try it out, but it certainly won't be long before I go back again! The restaurant itself is so cool, and the food was absolutely delicious!
I was invited by Lee, from My Sentiment ExactLee and Entertainment ExactLee, to join her and some of her friends for her birthday celebration. This was our first "real life" meeting, and we had a great time. I definitely have a new friend!
When I first walked in to Cafe Tu Tu Tango, I immediately knew it was going to be a unique dining experience. I have never visited a restaurant quite like this before. The walls are covered with art that local artists paint right in the restaurant, and it is all available for purchase. There is live entertainment throughout the restaurant too. We watched a belly dancer dance by our table several times. She was great!
Lee and her friends are apparently regulars at Cafe Tu Tu Tango. When we got to our table, there were two bottles of their award-winning Sangria waiting for us. How awesome is that? Lee was talking to who I believe was an owner or a manager of the restaurant and mentioned to him that they needed more vegetarian options on the menu, because one of her friends was a vegetarian. The next thing I knew, the head Chef (Chef Tiffany) was at our table with a sample of a new vegetarian dish she was trying out. She talked to us some about the menu and let us know that she was making some changes in the near future. I can't wait to see what she comes up with!
Now for the best part - the food! The menu items at Cafe Tu Tu Tango are served in appetizer-sized portions meant for sharing. This is such a great place to dine with a large group, because then you get to experience more of the food. Some of my favorites were Roasted Pears on Pecan Crisps, Dynamite Shrimp, and Baked Goat Cheese and Marinara Dip. Oh! I can't forget the Chocolate Dipped Cheesecake Lollipops we had for dessert. Everything was so delicious!
Whether you live in Orlando, or are just visiting, you must try Cafe Tu Tu Tango! It is located on International Drive, just north of the Convention Center. Make sure you follow them on Facebook and Twitter for even more fun!

We used to eat there all the time when we lived in Orlando! I love how everything arrives at the table when it is finished cooking, so that everything is at the proper temperature when you receive it.
Best,
