I am somewhat of a germaphobe. When Rylie was born, I pretty much made people scrub their hands like they were about to go into surgery before they even got within 20 feet of her. I really would have liked for people to wear masks and gloves, but I knew that was going a little bit too far. Since then, though, I have relaxed a bit when it comes to germs. My kids have been in daycare since they were two months old, so it is literally impossible for me to shield them from all germs. They have been sick several times, and I believe that their immune systems are very strong now and fight germs very well.
