Another Fun Filled Weekend

Weekends are always too short! We have been having so much fun lately, that Saturdays and Sundays just zoom by and before we know it, it is time to go back to work and school on Monday. The house doesn't get cleaned and laundry doesn't get done, but we spend quality time as a family and have a lot of fun, and for right now, that is all that matters. The mess isn't going anywhere.

This past Saturday we met up with my good friend Debi and her son Maddox at Disney's Boardwalk Resort. We had a great time hanging out and playing in the pool! Rylie went down this crazy twisty slide several times and loved it! She was a little afraid at first, but once she went down once, she was hooked! That little girl has no fear. After we went swimming, the kids goofed off in Debi's hotel room for a bit while we got ready for dinner.

We decided since we were already out at Disney to take the kids to Rainforest Cafe. The wait was crazy long, but we bought the "Safari Club" card that cut our wait time down to less than 45 minutes.

Disney Tip: if you want to eat at Rainforest Cafe and there is a huge wait, buy the Safari Club card! Not only does it cut your wait time in half, you also get either a free appetizer or 10% off 4 meals, and 15% off in the gift shop. You easily get your enrollment fee back!

We had a nice dinner and the kids enjoyed watching the "rain storm" and all of the animated animals throughout the restaurant. They were beat by the time we left!

On Sunday we met up with Andrea, Scott and Angelica at Amaya Papaya for the Baby Boogie Bash! This is a monthly party with a different theme each month. This month was a luau party! There was a candy station, face painting, exotic animals, music, dancing, and all of the great fun that can always be found at Amaya Papaya.

Shortly after we walked in, Rylie saw Angelica getting her face painted, so of course she wanted a pretty butterfly on her face too. The face painting was done by Ooh La La Face Painting. She was awesome!

After Rylie got all prettied up with her butterfly, she wanted to hold the snake. There was an organization there that had some scary exotic animals that you could get your picture taken with. Again, my child has no fear! She let the lady put this python around her neck and was smiling the whole time! She did get a little scared, though, when it started wrapping itself around her neck. I have to admit, I was getting scared too!

My kid is fearless!

The party was super fun! The kids ate candy, played with all of the fun toys, and enjoyed some Kindermusik.

Some of the pictures were snagged from Andrea because she takes awesome pics!

Bryce had a great time dancing to the beat of the drums! He really likes music and loves to dance.

Rylie and Angelica got to meet Abby Cadabby!

And here is a cute picture of Rylie playing cashier in her store. :-)

The best part of the party of course was watching my kids have fun, but it got even better. We bought a raffle ticket when we got there, and we actually won a year membership to Amaya Papaya! How awesome is that?

If you live in the Orlando area and haven't yet checked out Amaya Papaya, you should definitely do so. Maybe we'll see you at the next Baby Boogie Bash?

I can't wait for this weekend to get here! Once again, no chores will get done around the house. We're headed to the west coast to meet up with Carol and her family to spend some time at the beach. It's going to be another fun filled weekend!

Oh, how FUN! I kind of want a big butterfly drawn on my face now... plus I'm sad that we don't have Amaya Papaya here, what a cool place!

I completely agree with the fact that the mess can wait until another day, doing things like this with your family are much more important!

hah...I bet you mean the west coast of FL. I kept reading and thinking while she's pretty nonchalant about going cross country with her 2 little ones...ha!

Awe what fun! Love the fearlessness...so is Cam! I was looking at one of those photos and thought...did she take that? You can do so much with a point and shoot these days...then read it was from Andrea. Funny.

You are going to be in trouble with that Rylie...holding snakes, riding elephants. She is too much!! Love that you left the mess at home and found it more important to take the kiddos out to have a good time. The memories you make are much better than staying home and cleaning :)
