Wholesome Snacks For Dogs From Old Mother Hubbard {Review & Giveaway}

Our dog Chloe loves treats! Honestly, I don't know a dog who doesn't. Now that Chloe is the only dog in the house, her "treats" consist mainly of whatever the kids "accidentally" drop on the floor. I try not to give her too many treats aside from that, though, because a lot of them are very high calorie and not good for her at all. But after we go outside in the evenings, she likes to have a treat or two, and she lets me know by pacing in front of the pantry until I give her one. Thank goodness for Old Mother Hubbard dog snacks! With these, I can feel good about giving Chloe some extra treats each day. After all, she is a good girl and deserves them!

We received a variety of Old Mother Hubbard snacks for Chloe to try out. Included in our package were Old Mother Hubbard Classic Extra Tasty Assortment Mini (including Liv’R’Crunch, P-Nuttier and Bac’N’Cheez), Old Mother Hubbard Soft & Chewy Bitz Liver Recipe, and Old Mother Hubbard Mother’s Solutions Skin & Coat.

Chloe has been a huge fan of the Old Mother Hubbard Oven Baked Dog Biscuits for a while now. Her favorites are the large P-Nuttier biscuits. She liked the small sized Extra Tasty Assortment that we received just as well. Chloe is a 60 pound golden retriever, so these biscuits were a little small for her, but she still gobbled them up! The biscuits come in a variety of flavors such as Bac'N'Cheese, Just Vegg'n and Chick'N'Apples.

The Old Mother Hubbard Soft & Chewy Bitz went over very well too. We received the Liver Recipe, and boy were they stinky! That's probably why she likes them so much. I imagine they are very flavorful. Again, these were very small treats for our big Chloe, but they are perfect for training! During dog training, many treats are given in a single session, so the size of these work really well for that, in order not to give your dog too many extra calories. We worked on some of Chloe's tricks with these treats, such as begging...

You see that little dog trying to get in on the action? That is Lani, one of my mom's dogs. We were dog-sitting for her at the time we were reviewing these treats, and I have to say that both of her dogs LOVED these little Bitz! They were the perfect snacks for her little chihuahua mixes!

The third product we tried was the Old Mother Hubbard Mother’s Solutions Skin & Coat. The Soft & Chewy Skin & Coat recipe was developed to help provide dogs with healthy skin and a shiny coat by delivering 1.75% of Omega 6 and 0.5% of Omega 3. Golden Retrievers tend to have sensitive skin, so these are perfect for her! The Mother's Solutions also comes in 5 Calorie for dogs that like treats but not the extra calories, and Hip & Joint, which are formulated with 750mg/kg of Glucosamine Hydrochloride and 250mg/kg of Chondroitin Sulfate to help support your dog's hip & joint mobility.

I feel good about giving Chloe any treats from the Old Mother Hubbard bakery! The fact that they are made with all-natural ingredients, rather than a bunch of fillers, makes them a treat Chloe likes to eat, and I like to give. I highly recommend Old Mother Hubbard dog snacks for your furry friend!
