Welcome to Tell Us Something Good! I'm so glad you're here. Every Tuesday, my friend Andrea from Angelica's Awesome Adventures and I will be sharing something good with you. We hope that you will share something good with us too. So grab the button at the top, tell us something good on your blog, and link up your post at the linky on the bottom.
My "something good" for today is about Rylie's vacation at Mama's house!
My mom went on vacation a couple of weeks ago, and Brian met her halfway to pick up her dogs so we could keep them for her. Rylie went with him to pick up the dogs, and when she saw my mom, she asked her if she could come with her. My mom explained that she was going on vacation and told Rylie that she could come stay with her when she returned. I took my mom's dogs back to her on Sunday, and left Rylie there with her too.
Little vacations at Mama's are good in so many ways. First, my mom and Rylie have so much fun together! Rylie gets spoiled, and she loves every second of it! They have waffle sundaes for breakfast, and they go to cool places like Busch Gardens, the zoo and the movies.
It's good for my mom too, because she gets a week of not having to be by herself at home. Rylie certainly keeps her busy, that's for sure! And you can't help but smile and be happy when you're around that little girl.
It's good for Bryce because he gets all of our attention at home. He doesn't have to worry about anyone snatching his toys from him, either. ;-) Brian and I get to spend some one-on-one time with Bryce, which is something that he doesn't get that often. Rylie had 20 months of us all to herself, so it is nice when Bryce gets that for a little while too.
It's good for Brian and me because, let's face it, having one kid is easier than having two. :-)
I am so fortunate that my mom is so involved in our lives, and loves to take care of my children. I don't worry about the kids when they are with my mom because I know how well they are being taken care of.
I do miss my little princess when she is gone, though, and I always look forward to the day that she comes back home. I miss her antics, her laughter, and of course her cute little face!
OK, now it's your turn. Tell us something good...

Rylie sure is a lucky little lady, being spoiled by mama this week!
I love having my mom close by for those same reasons. My mom hasn't taken the kids individually over night, but she does take them for special Grandma days by herself. Such fun! I didn't get to to this with either of my grandmas, so I think my girls are pretty lucky. I'm glad Rylie gets an opportunity to spend some time with your mom. It is nice to have that time alone with the second child, too.
super cute!!!! i'm sure she misses you like crazy too while shes gone!
gramma's and little girls are such a special mix! i don't know who is the more fortunate!
It sounds like a win-win for everybody involved!
Vacations at Grandma's are always fun!!
You are so blessed to have a mom that takes your kids...LOL! My mom works and there are 7 grandchildren, so you kind of have to schedule her momnths in advance. And my kids never sleep there :) It is good for everyone, she gets one on one with Grandma and Bryce gets one on one with you guys. Now, when Bryce gets bigger, you will have to send him off and keep Rylie home!
