Nutrisystem Weekly Weigh In: Week 5

Nutrisystem is costing me a fortune! No, I'm not talking about the cost of the program, since it is being provided to me through the Nutrisystem Nation Blogging Program. The cost I'm referring to is that of my new wardrobe! Up until last weekend I didn't have any clothes that fit. They were all too big. During my vacation last weekend, my aunt and I went shopping and I finally have clothes that fit me now.

For the first time in many years, I actually enjoyed shopping for clothes. It was awesome when I tried on size 8s and mediums and they were too big on me. Crazy! Now, most of the clothes I bought were 8s, but I did get some that were smaller. I was so excited! I even bought skirts and dresses, which is something I have never done before. So even though this diet plan is costing me some money, I certainly don't mind.

I didn't post a weigh in last week because I was out of town and didn't have my scale. I'm sure you're wondering if I gained any weight during my vacation, right? Well I'm happy to say that I didn't! I came home weighing the exact amount that I did when I left. I knew we were going to be running around a lot while we were away, so other than some of the breakfast bars, I did not take my Nutrisystem food with me. I did splurge some (like those chicken enchiladas smothered in queso that I had), but I tried to make decent decisions on my other meals, at least. As soon as I came home, I was right back on the program.

The Nutrisystem program is super easy to stick with too. The food is GOOD! Most of all, the meals are easy to make, and are convenient for a busy working mom like me. Some of my favorites from this week were Southern-Style Biscuits & Gravy for breakfast, Meatball Parmesan Melt for lunch, Chicken Pasta Parmesan for dinner, and Caramel Swirl Sundae for dessert.

Now for my weekly weigh in. I did see the 130s earlier in the week, but since weight can fluctuate from day to day, I always take my Sunday afternoon reading. It's still close! 140.6 was my daily weigh in earlier today. That is almost a pound and a half down over the last two weeks, even with my vacation in there. I'll take it!

Good for you, LeeAnn! I bet it feels awesome to buy new clothes in a smaller size - that's a pretty awesome reward for sticking to the plan!
