Unfortunately, we can't just go out and buy a new TV. Just like the big upstairs reorganization I need to do, other things have to be done in order to get a new TV, especially if we want a bigger one than the 43" we have now. Which we do. We have a built in entertainment center that will not accommodate anything wider than what is in there now. There is a large opening in the middle for the TV, and then shelves on both sides. We were lucky the TV fit when we moved in! So in order to get anything bigger, the entertainment center needs to go, which is a huge project! But once that is completed, there will be a whole wall to fill!
So then what do we do? I have been scouring the internet for ideas, and was recently looking at the Bush collection furniture. I saw many different options available to fill up that wall.
One option is a Bush TV stand. I really like this simple design. It has shelves for DVRs, DVD players and gaming systems. I also like the fact that it leaves room on the wall for decorations, or even plants, like shown in the picture. My favorite feature, though, is the bench that rolls out from underneath it. It is always great to have extra seating available if you need it, but then it can be easily stored away when not in use.
Not only is it a bench, but the top lifts up for more storage. In my house, we always need more
The other option would be to go with something like this Bush entertainment center. I do think the full entertainment centers look a little nicer than just a stand, but then you are also limited as to what you can do as far as decorating around the TV area.
First things first, though, we need to have a little demolition party and get that built in entertainment center our of the wall. I'll tear it down...who wants to patch it up?

Check out Sam's Club or Best Buy for Flat screen tv stands!
It is amazing how one project leads in to about 10 other projects...LOL!
husband and I really like the one with the storage bench. However I didn't see it on the site. Do you have a link for it? How much does it cost? I might have to buy it.
