Tell Us Something Good: Safe Travels {Linky}

The Life of Rylie...and Bryce too!

Welcome to Tell Us Something Good! I'm so glad you're here. Every Tuesday, my friend Andrea from Angelica's Awesome Adventures and I will be sharing something good with you. We hope that you will share something good with us too. So grab the button at the top, tell us something good on your blog, and link up your post at the linky on the bottom.

My "something good" for today is the fact that we had a great vacation to visit family in Alabama, and we made it there and back safely!

I am writing this post on Monday evening. We returned home from our trip to Alabama just a few hours ago and I am exhausted. I came home to find that my hard drive on my computer crashed, so I can't download any pictures to show you all of the fun we had. But since this is all about something good, I won't go into how I'm actually sick to my stomach over the whole hard drive thing right now.

So back to the good...

We had a great vacation! We had so much fun with my aunt and her family. We had a super fun birthday party for my cousin Alaina on Saturday that included a 20 foot water slide! I'm still hurting from that. On Sunday my aunt and I spent the day out shopping, and as usual, spent way too much money, but had way too much fun.

Aside from all the fun we had, the really great part is that the car ride up and back (almost 400 miles each way) went well. The kids were wonderful! They watched their movies and napped and I wasn't pulling my hair out. Since it was a holiday weekend, there were a lot of cops on the road, so I watched my speed. There was one point that I may or may not have been speeding just enough to get a ticket, but lucky for me, a little speed demon in a sports car went zooming past me just as we saw the cop in the median with the radar gun. The dude pulled over before the cop turned around. What else can you do, I guess? And the most important part is that we made it there and back safely. I certainly couldn't ask for much more than that.

I'll be back later in the week (with a new hard drive, hopefully) to tell you all about it, and to show you proof of why my body feels like I was in a fight. I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend, and that your travels were as safe as ours were.

OK, now it's your turn. Tell us something good...

*Please note: This linky is only for those participating in Tell Us Something Good. You are welcome to link up a recent post about something good in your life, we just ask that you include the Tell Us Something Good badge somewhere in your post. We hate to have "rules", but we want to be fair to those that are participating. Thank you for understanding.*

Hey LeeAnn....glad to hear you had a great trip. Two kiddos in a car for a number of hours, behaving well....that is something to really be thankful for! Looking forward to seeing pics and catching up soon :)

I've got to say... two young kids behaving in a car for that long- that IS something good! I'm glad you had a great vacation. I'm sorry to hear about your hard drive. I know how sickening that can be- from personal experience. I hope you can recover your data!

Have a great week, and I'll see you here next week!

I love road trips, and I'm glad the kids entertained themselves along the way. :)

Glad you didn't get a ticket!

That's awesome. I remember last year how you were so worried about them in the car, and if my memory serves me correctly - it wasn't such a cake-walk last year. We are thinking of driving to Atlanta in July - this gives me hope :)

I'm glad you are safe and had a wonderful time!

Never a dull moment is there?

We are gearing up for a drive to Texas with 2 kids. I am not looking forward to the drive but the vacation should be perfect.

It sounds like you had a great trip! It's always nice when the kids do well on long car rides.
