Tell Us Something Good: Movie, Dinner & Great Friends

The Life of Rylie...and Bryce too!

Welcome to Tell Us Something Good! I'm so glad you're here. Every Tuesday, my friend Andrea from Angelica's Awesome Adventures and I will be sharing something good with you. We hope that you will share something good with us too. So grab the button at the top, tell us something good on your blog, and link up your post at the linky on the bottom.

My "something good" for today is about our fun Saturday afternoon!

I mentioned last week in Five Question Friday that Andrea and I had plans on Saturday to take Rylie and Angelica to the Kidtoons showing of Olivia in Melbourne. When they got to our house Saturday afternoon, the girls were so excited to see each other! We got in the car, turned a DVD on for the kids and headed to Melbourne, which was going to be about an hour drive. Well it turned out that the DVD player didn’t want to play the movie I put in, so I turned it off and let the girls entertain themselves. And they did just that. They goofed off the whole car ride there. Andrea and I sure were ready for the loud movie after the hour spent in the car with those two crazy girls!

We got to the movie theater, got some popcorn and drinks and went to settle in our seats. We were expecting a crowd, so imagine our surprise when we walked in to an empty theater. At one point in time another family had come in, but they left about halfway through the movie. Apparently they didn’t realize that it wasn’t really a regular movie, but instead four regular episodes of Olivia. The little boy was bored.

Our girls certainly didn’t mind that it wasn’t a full-length feature movie. They had a great time eating popcorn and watching Olivia on the big screen! As it got close to the end of the last episode, Rylie decided she needed to get up and go over to Angelica’s seat. The next thing we knew, the girls were took off and were doing laps around the theater. Since we were the only ones in there, we let them play. I have never heard so much giggling in my life! Well, except for the time when Angelica spent the night and they were supposed to be sleeping. Those two ran and ran and ran, up and down the stairs and all over the place.

Once the movie was over we headed back home and went to Chick Fil A. The girls ate a little bit of dinner, and once Brian showed up with Bryce (they had already eaten but I told him to bring Bryce down to play), they all just wanted to play. So they ran some more. Up and down the stairs, all around the hamster-like maze, and down the slide. Like 100 times, I guess. They took a break for some ice cream, and then played some more. By the time we left, those girls were tired and sweaty!

I have no pictures from Chick Fil A because my camera died when we got there. Andrea has a few on her Tell Us Something Good post, so make sure you check it out! In fact, she has better pictures of the movie too.

On the way home, Rylie begged us to let Angelica spend the night. OMG it is already starting! LOL Unfortunately we had too much to do on Sunday so I had to break their little hearts and say no, but we promised that we would arrange it in a couple of weeks.

It was such a SUPER FUN day for everyone! Rylie and Angelica love each other so much and always play so well together. Andrea and I had a great day chatting about anything and everything. I’m so lucky to have a great friend like her! I can’t wait to do it again real soon!

OK, now it's your turn. Tell us something good...

What a great time to be alone in a movie theater! I don't think I've ever had that experience.
Have a great week!

How great that they friends in each other! I posted about sleepovers today - it's pretty much like free kid/baby sitting, fun for kids and parents too! :)

It is so awesome that the kids had a great time and so did the moms!! It is always so cute to see the kiddos ascting giddy and silly. Isn't awesome to be a kid. I love that no one was in the theater...the girls probably owned the place!! Thanks for hosting :)
