My "something good" for today is...
No, that's not my hand. I'm already married, silly. That hand belongs to my beautiful, smart and super sweet cousin Alyssa!
When my family was down for my dad's funeral I mentioned to Alyssa that we have to stop getting together for gatherings such as that. Our grandfather's funeral was just a little over a year prior, but seemed like it had just been a month ago. She agreed. I said "Ooooh, you need to get married!" Weddings are so much more fun than funerals, right?
On Mother's Day I got the good news. Alyssa and her boyfriend Zach got engaged!
I am so very happy for them! My cousins are all like little sisters to me. We have a small family and we're all very close. Alyssa is almost 14 years younger than me, so she's always been like a little kid that I get to spoil. It is hard to believe that she is all grown up now and is going to get married!
The wedding isn't until next May, and I can't wait! Alyssa doesn't live locally, but I hope I will be able to have at least a small part in helping her plan her special day. There is something about weddings that just makes me all giddy. I can't wait to see this beautiful bride walk down the aisle!

How exciting for your family!! Yeah...some good news and happy times are coming your way. This will be great for your family. Wedding planning is so much fun...I am starting it now with my little sister :) Sorry I did not post today and link up...I was exhausted last night and didn't feel like writing...LOL!
